If you're like many of us, you've perseverated over what to do for Lent for some time and here we are ... tomorrow's the day and you're still not sure.
Let me suggest a few things.
Of course we'll be keeping the fasts and abstinence during lent, but let's also (instead of going with the old standby of *SWEETS*) think more proactively and include ways to draw us nearer to the Sacred & Immaculate Hearts daily.
We can increase our Scripture reading and include books and movies about the saints, which will strengthen our resolve to incorporate our Faith into all aspects of our lives.
There's almsgiving of course. We have to be careful with this one, because so many agencies and organizations today are erroneous and/or take most donations for administration costs, so research where you give, or just help out individuals that you know could use it. Not hard to find that these days of inflation and craziness!
Attend daily Mass if you can. If you can't, there's always online Mass for those who are incapacitated as well as online Adoration. It's not the same as being there, but it's a great alternative when you can't do anything else.
Basically, just think outside the box. I think these days DOING is better than NOT DOING ;-)
If you need more ideas, here's a little additional help:
May your Lenten season be productive and strengthen your Faith!
