General Prayers, Novenas, Petitions

Morning Prayer
Lord, as I begin this prayer I offer you my whole self: my thoughts, desires, decisions, actions, hopes, fears, weaknesses, failures and petty successes. I open my entire being to you, aware that you know everything already. I’m certain of your mercy and of the purifying power of your penetrating, loving gaze. Jesus, let me fulfill your command of charity. Amen.

Prayer to avoid the Sin of PRIDE:
“Oh My Jesus help me to avoid the sin of pride when I speak in Your Name. Forgive me if I ever belittle anyone in Your holy Name. Help me to listen Jesus when Your Voice is spoken and fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I can discern the truth of Your Word when You call out to mankind. Amen.”

A prayer of St. Teresa of Avila:
O my God! Source of all mercy! I acknowledge Your sovereign power. While recalling the wasted years that are past, I believe that You, Lord, can in an instant turn this loss to gain. Miserable as I am, yet I firmly believe that You can do all things. Please restore to me the time lost, giving me Your grace, both now and in the future, that I may appear before You in "wedding garments." Amen.

For Humility:
Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that You may fortify me with the grace of Your Holy Spirit, and give Your peace to my soul, that I may be free from all needless anxiety and worry. Help me to desire always that which is pleasing and acceptable to You, so that Your Will may be my will.
Grant that I may be free from unholy desires, and that, for Your love, I may remain obscure and unknown in this world, to be known only to You.
Do not permit me to attribute to myself the good that You perform in me and through me, but rather, referring all honor to You, may I admit only to my infirmities, so that renouncing sincerely all vainglory which comes from the world, I may aspire to that true and lasting glory that comes from You. Amen

Prayer to the Indwelling Most Holy Trinity
O my Love, my only Good, Most Holy Trinity, I adore You, hidden in the depths of my soul. To You, to Your honor and glory, I dedicate my life. May every thought, word and deed of mine be an act of adoration and praise directed towards Your Divine Majesty enthroned in my heart. O Father, Infinite Goodness, behold Your child, clothed in the likeness of Your Son. Extend to me Your arms that I may belong to You forever. O Son, Divine Lord, made man, crucify me with Yourself that I may become, in union with You, a sacrifice of praise for the glory of Your Father. O Holy Spirit, Fire of Everlasting Love, consume me on the altar of Divine Charity, that at the end of life, nothing may remain but that which bears the likeness of Christ. O Blessed Trinity, worthy of all adoration, I wish to remain in spirit on my knees, to acknowledge forever Your reign in me and over me, to Your everlasting glory. Through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the pure heart of St. Joseph, I consecrate my life to Your adoration and glory. At the moment of death, receive me, O my Triune Love, that I may continue my adoration of love through all eternity. Amen (200 days)

Act of Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Plenary Indulgence if recited publicly today on the feast of our Lord Jesus Christ King of the Universe ... a partial Indulgence if recited piously:
Most Sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thine altar. We are Thine, and Thine we wish to be; but to be more surely united to Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates ourselves today to Thy Most Sacred Heart.
Many indeed have never known Thee; Many too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart. Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful children, who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children, who have abandoned Thee; Grant that they may quickly return to their Father’s house lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.
Be Thou King of those who are deceived by the erroneous opinions of whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one shepherd.
Grant, O Lord, to Thy Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry; praise to the Divine Heart that wrought our salvation; To It be glory and honor forever. Amen.

Novena Prayer for Healing
(pray for 9 consecutive days; different intention every day)
Prayer for Healing:
God, like a watchful Shepherd, You care for us. You make the earth yield healing herbs and medicines and give us the knowledge to learn their power. Your creative love continues through the healing hands of doctors, pharmacists, and nurses, and the healing counsel of priests, ministers, and friends.
Bless me, and all who suffer. Our afflictions become a cross that burdens us with fear and uncertainty. Cast out our fear and revive our faith. Give us strength that we may be filled with hope. Let the Holy Spirit come to our aid that we might live each day in the joy for which You fashioned us.
I pray for healing in body, soul, and spirit that I may be Your servant in this world and enjoy the fullness of Your Presence in the life to come. I make this prayer humbly, knowing I cannot restrict or direct Your saving grace. I give joyful thanks for Your compassion wherever I may find it.
I ask all this in the Name of the Lord Jesus Who intercedes before You on my behalf. Amen.

Prayers for Breaking Free
Denouncing Religious Spirits
Heavenly Father, in the Name of Your Son, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I denounce the sin of idolatry, superstitious practices, and all vows of consecration that I have made to spiritual entities other than the one true God—the Blessed Trinity. I denounce the practice of offering prayers and worship to false gods and selling my soul along with the value of my good deeds to spiritual entities operating under religious-sounding names.
I denounce all forms of divination, seeking oracles from the dead, communicating with mediums, spirit guides, casting spells, automatic writing, astrology, tarot cards, horoscopes, fortune-telling, palm readings, magic charms, and anything associated with the occult or satan. I denounce all of these practices in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ Who came in the Flesh, and by the power of His cross, His Blood, and His resurrection, I break their hold over me.
O most Sacred Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I confess all these sins before You and ask You to cleanse and forgive me. I adore You, love You, and need You. O good and loving Jesus, grant that I may always live in You, through You, and for You. Send forth Your Holy Spirit and baptize me with power from on high, just as You baptized Your disciples on the day of Pentecost.

Prayer against Every Evil
Spirit of our God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Most Holy Trinity, descend upon me. Please purify me, mold me, fill me with yourself, and use me. Banish all the forces of evil from me, destroy them, vanquish them so that I can be healthy and do good deeds.
Banish from me all spells, witchcraft, black magic, malefice, ties, maledictions, and the evil eye; diabolic infestations, oppressions, possessions; all that is evil and sinful; jealousy, perfidy, envy; and physical, psychological, moral, spiritual, and diabolical ailments.
I command and bid all the powers who molest me—by the power of God Almighty, in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior—to leave me forever, and to be consigned into the everlasting lake of fire, that they may never again touch me or any other creature in the entire world.

Prayer for Reconciliation
Almighty and merciful Father, I implore your forgiveness for all the times I have sinned against your holy Catholic Church. Please forgive me for disrespecting anything that was sacred, for spreading gossip, being angry, criticizing the priest's homily, and projecting negative word curses. Please send forth your Holy Spirit to repair and restore all the damage that I have caused in the past.
Merciful Lord Jesus, I ask for your grace to forgive all members of the clergy who have ever hurt me. I forgive my parish priest for all his harmful actions and unkind words that he has spoken against me. I forgive all those in positions of authority, especially any members of the clergy who have violated my mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I ask for your loving grace to heal all the circumstances where I failed to receive the love and support that I needed from my parish community.
By an act of my free will, I choose to forgive everybody, including the people who hurt me the most. I release my desire to receive an apology, my need to be justified in my actions, and my need for others to acknowledge the injustice. I surrender the entire debt of all injuries into your merciful hands, Lord Jesus. I denounce all forms of anger, bitterness, and resentment, and I command any evil spirits that have attached themselves to me through the lack of forgiveness to leave now and go straight to the feet of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Through the power of your Holy Spirit, I ask you, Lord Jesus, to fill me with your love, joy, peace, kindness, generosity, and self-control. May your healing hand rest upon me now as I bless all those who have hurt me. I desire to be kind and compassionate to everyone, forgiving them just as you have forgiven me. Amen.

Prayer against Malefice
God, our Lord, King of ages, All-powerful and Almighty, you who made everything and who transform everything simply by your will; you who changed into dew the flames of the seven-times hotter furnace and protected and saved your three holy children:
You are the doctor and physician of our soul. You are the salvation of those who turn to you. I beseech you to make powerless, banish, and drive out every diabolic power, presence, and machination; every evil influence, malefice, or evil eye and all evil actions aimed against me.
Where there is envy and malice, give me an abundance of goodness, endurance, victory, and charity. O Lord, you who love man, I beg you to reach out your powerful hands and your most high and mighty arms and come to my aid.
Send your angel of peace over me, to protect me body and soul. May he keep at bay and vanquish every evil power, every poison or malice invoked against me by corrupt and envious people.
Then under the protection of your authority may I sing with gratitude, "The Lord is my salvation; whom should I fear? I will not fear evil because you are with me, my God, my strength, my powerful Lord, Lord of peace, Father of all ages."

Prayer for a Spiritual Canopy
Dear Lord Jesus, please forgive me for all the times I have not submitted to you. Forgive me for all sinfulness and for agreeing with the enemy and his lies. I now submit to you as my Lord, dear Jesus. Now I break every agreement that I have made with the enemy.
Lord Jesus, please have your warring angels remove and bind to the abyss all demons and their devices that had access to me because I believed their lies. I now ask you to establish a hedge of protection around me, over me, and under me, and seal it with your blood, Lord Jesus Christ.
I now choose to put on the full armor of God and ask that you cleanse me and seal me, body, mind, soul and spirit, with your blood, Lord Jesus Christ. Please have your warring angels bind up and remove all demons, their devices, and all their power from within this protective hedge and have them sent to the abyss.
Please have your warriors destroy all demonic, occult, or witchcraft assignments directed against me including all backups and replacements. Please have your warriors remove all trafficking people and send them back to their own bodies and seal them there with your blood, Lord Jesus Christ. Please have your angels stand guard over me and protect me from all the attacks of the enemy.

Prayer for Inner Healing
Lord Jesus, please come and heal my wounded and troubled heart. I beg you to heal the torments that cause anxiety in my heart; I beg you, in a particular way, to heal all who are the causes of my sinfulness. I beg you to come into my life and heal me of the psychological harms that struck me in my childhood and from the injuries that they caused throughout my life.
Lord Jesus, you know my burdens. I lay them all on your Good Shepherd's Heart. I beseech you—by the merits of the great open wound in your heart—to heal the small wounds that are in mine. Heal the pain of my memories, so that nothing that has happened to me will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety.
Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of all the evil that is rooted in my life. I want to forgive all those who have offended me. Look to those inner sores that make me unable to forgive. You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart, please, heal my heart.
Heal me, O Lord, from the pain caused by the death of my loved ones, which is oppressing me. Grant me to regain peace and joy in the knowledge that you are the Resurrection and the Life. Make me an authentic witness to your Resurrection, your victory over sin and death, your living presence among all men. Amen.

Infilling of the Holy Spirit
O most Holy Spirit, I acknowledge that I can do nothing of eternal value without Your assistance. Come then, O most Holy Spirit, and fulfill the promise of my blessed Savior when He said, "I will not leave you orphaned." Come into my heart. Descend upon me as on the day of Pentecost when You filled Your first disciples with power from on high. Grant that I may fully participate in all Your gifts that You bestow with such great generosity.
Take from my heart whatever is not pleasing to You and make of it a worthy dwelling place for Your holy Presence. Illuminate my mind that I may see and understand the things that are for my eternal good. Inflame my heart with pure love that I may be cleansed from the impurity of worldly attachments. Strengthen my will that I may conform to Your Divine Will and be guided by Your holy inspirations. Aid me by Your grace to practice the divine lessons of humility, poverty, obedience, and contempt for all worldly ways, which Jesus taught through His mortal way of life.
O rend the heavens and come down, consoling Spirit! So that inspired and encouraged by Your power, I may faithfully fulfill the duties of my calling and endeavor to accomplish Your Divine Will with the utmost perfection. Spirit of love! Spirit of purity! Spirit of joy! Sanctify my soul more and more and give me that heavenly peace that the world cannot give. May Your Will be done in me and through me, that Your holy Presence may be praised and glorified forevermore.

Psalm 119
Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes, and I will observe it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it. Turn my heart to your decrees, and not to selfish gain. Turn my eyes from looking at vanities; give me life in your ways.
When I think of your ordinances from of old, I take comfort, O Lord. Your statutes have been my songs wherever I make my home. I remember your name in the night, O Lord, and keep your law. At midnight I rise to praise you, because of your righteous ordinances. Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.
Before I was humbled I went astray, but now I keep your word. It is good for me that I was humbled, so that I might learn your statutes. Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments. Let your mercy come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight. I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life. Oh, how I love your law! It is my meditation all day long.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Accept my offerings of praise, O Lord, and teach me your ordinances. I rise before dawn and cry for help; I put my hope in your words. My eyes are awake before each watch of the night, that I may meditate on your promise. In your steadfast love hear my voice; O Lord, in your justice preserve my life.

Closing of Deliverance Prayers
Thank you, Lord Jesus, for awakening my sleeping spirit and bringing me into your light. Thank you, Lord, for transforming me by the renewing of my mind. Thank you, Lord, for pouring out your Spirit on me, and revealing your Word to me. Thank you, Lord, for giving your angels charge over me in all my ways. Thank you for my faith in you and that from my innermost being shall flow rivers of living water. Thank you for directing my mind and heart into the love of the Father and the steadfastness of all your ways. Fill me to overflowing with your life and love, my Lord and King, Jesus Christ.

The Rosary or Mass and Holy Communion is
recommended each day.
The National Public Novena takes place each year at Knock Shrine from the 14th to the 22nd of August. Prayer leaflets may be had from the Shrine Office. Two sessions are held daily, namely at 3.00 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. Both sessions commence with Concelebrated Mass in the Basilica which is followed by a Procession to the Apparition Gable. A procession of the Blessed Sacrament is held in the afternoon and the beautiful candlelight procession takes place at night. For those who cannot be present the Novena may be made at home or in the local Church. This gives them a share in the Masses and prayers being offered each day at the Shrine.

A Rosary Novena (9 days)
My dearest Mother Mary, behold me, your child, in prayer at your feet. Accept this Holy Rosary, which I offer you in accordance with your requests at Fatima, as a proof of my tender love for you, for the intentions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in atonement for the offenses committed against the Holy Trinity, your Immaculate Heart and for this special favor which I earnestly request in my Rosary Novena: (Mention your request).
I beg you to present my petition to your Divine Son. If you will pray for me, I cannot be refused. I know, dearest Mother, that you want me to seek God’s holy Will concerning my request. If what I ask for should not be granted, pray that I may receive that which will be of greater benefit to my soul.
I offer you this spiritual “Bouquet of Roses” because I love you. I put all my confidence in you, since your prayers before God are most powerful. For the greater glory of God and for the Sake of Jesus, your loving Son, please hear and grant my prayer.
Sweet Heart of Mary, my Immaculate Blessed Mother, be my compassionate advocate. Amen!

Prayer to Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth
O Mary, may the souls who suffer cruel torments in Purgatory, purified by the ardour of the flames, be the object of your compassion!
O Mary, open spring which cleanses our faults, reconciler of sinners, reach out to those who pray you and implore your assistance in Purgatory!
O Mary, intercede for our deceased. They await patiently the end of their suffering when they will see you and taste eternal joys!
O Mary, Model of the Just, guide of the faithful, salvation of those who hope in you, help us to pray ardently for the Souls of the deceased and touch the Heart of your Divine Son.
O Mary, by the merits you have gained, give the dead true life, obtain mercy for them, and be the way which leads to your Son Jesus and to eternal rest. Amen.

Father of Truth Prayer
Father of Truth, behold Your Son, a Sacrifice pleasing to You. Accept this offering of Him Who died for me; behold His Blood shed on Golgotha for my salvation. It pleads for me. For His sake, accept my offering. Many are my sins, but greater is Your mercy. When placed on a scale, Your mercy prevails over the weight of the mountains known only to You. Consider the sin and consider the Atonement; the Atonement is greater and exceeds the sin. Your beloved Son sustained the nails and the lance because of my sins so in His sufferings You are satisfied and I live.

Novena In Honor Of Saint John Marie Vianney
JULY 27: ARDENT FAITH
Saint John Marie Baptist Vianney you were born of a deeply religious mother; from her you received the Holy Faith; you learned to love God and to pray. At a young age, you were seen kneeling in the front of the statue of Mary. Your soul was supernaturally carried towards the things on High. Despite the high cost, you answered your vocation!
Against many obstacles and contradictions, you had to fight and suffer to become the perfect priest which you were. But your deep spirit of faith supported you in all these battles. 0 Great Saint you know the desire of my soul; I would like to serve God better; from Him I have received so many good things. For this, obtain for me more courage and especially the depth of faith.
Many of my thoughts, words, and actions are useless for my sanctification and for my salvation, because this supernatural spirit does not stir up my life. Help me to be better in the future.
Holy Priest of Ars, I have confidence in your intercession. Pray for me during this novena especially for ... (mention silently your special intentions).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be

JULY 28 COMPLETE TRUST IN GOD
Saint John Marie Baptist Vianney, what confidence the people had in your prayers! You could not leave your old rectory or your humble church without being surrounded by imploring souls, who appealed to you as they would have appealed to Jesus Himself during His earthly life. And you, O good Saint, gave them hope by your words, which were full of love for God.
You, who had always counted entirely on the heart of God, obtain for me a deep filial trust in His Providence. As the hope of divine goods fills my heart, give me courage and help me to always obey the Commandments of God.
Holy Priest of Ars, I have confidence in your intercession. Pray for me during this novena especially for ... (mention silently your special intentions).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

JULY 29: TRUE LOVE OF NEIGHBOR
Saint John Marie Baptist Vianney because of your love of God you showed great charity towards your neighbor. You could not preach on the Love of God without burning tears of love. During your last years, it seemed as though you could not talk about any thing else or live for anything else. Thus you sacrificed yourself to your neighbor by consoling, absolving and sanctifying them to the limits of your strength.
Your charity inspires me to greater love of God, a love which is shown more by acts then by words. Help me to love my neighbor generously as Christ loves them.
Holy Priest of Ars, I have confidence in your intercession. Pray for me during this novena especially for ... (mention silently your special intentions).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

JULY 30: HORROR OF SIN
Saint John Mary Baptist Vianney, you were so adamant against sin, yet so sympathetic and so ready to welcome the sinner. I come to you today as if you were still alive, as if I were kneeling at your feet and you could hear me. Bend towards me, listen to the repentant confidence for the weaknesses and miserable deeds of mine.
Priest of the Lord, inexhaustible Confessor, obtain for me the horror for sin. You wanted us first to avoid the occasion of sin. I want to take your advice and make the resolution to break bad habits and to avoid the dangerous occasions of sin. Help me today to examine my conscience.
Holy Priest of Ars, I have confidence in your intercession. Pray for me during this novena especially for... (mention silently your special intentions).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

JULY 31: CONFESSOR OF SOULS
O Holy Priest of Ars, you knew how important was a good confession for the Christian life. It was to procure the happy fruits of millions of souls that you agreed to be in an uncomfortable confessional, which was like a prison, up to 15 to 16 hours on certain days.
I will try to develop the habit of frequent confession, to prepare properly each time and to have always regret for my sins, so that the grace of final perseverance but also the sanctification of my soul will be assured. Ask this grace for me.
Holy Priest of Ars, I have confidence in your intercession. Pray for me during this novena especially for ... (mention silently your special intentions).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be

AUGUST 1: REAL PRESENCE
O Holy Priest of Ars, whose only comfort in this world was the real presence of Jesus in the tabernacle, was it not your great joy to distribute the Eucharist to the pilgrims who visited you? You refused Communion to the souls who refused to reform but to souls of goodwill you opened wide the doors of the Eucharistic Feast.
You, who each day at Holy Mass received Holy Communion with great loves, give me some of your fervor. With freedom from mortal sin, obtain for me a sincere desire to profit from receiving Holy Communion.
Holy Priest of Ars, I have confidence in your intercession. Pray for me during this novena especially for... (mention silently your special intentions).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

AUGUST 2: DISPELLER OF SATAN
O Holy Priest of Ars, the infamous attacks of the devil which you had to suffer and the trials which disheartened you by fatigue would not make you give up the sublime task of converting souls. The devil came to you for many years to disturb your short rest but you won because of mortification and prayers.
Powerful protector, you know the temptor's desire to harm my baptized and believing soul. He would have me sin, by rejecting the Holy Sacraments and the life of virtue. But good Saint of Ars dispel from me the traces of the enemy.
Holy Priest of Ars, I have confidence in your intercession. Pray for me during this novena especially for ... (mention silently your special intentions).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

AUGUST 3: EXQUISITE PURITY
O Holy Priest of Ars, a witness of your life made this magnificent praise of you:
'We would have taken him for an angel in a mortal body."
You so edified others: the modesty and the exquisite purity radiated from your body. With such charm and with such enthusiasm you preached to others about these beautiful virtues which you said resembled the perfume of a vineyard in bloom.
Please I beg you to join your entreaties to those of Mary Immaculate and Saint Philomena in order that I guard always, as God asks me, the purity of my heart. You, who have directed so many souls towards the heights of virtue, defend me in temptations and obtain for me the strength to conquer them.
Holy Priest of Ars, I have confidence in your intercession. Pray for me during this novena especially for ... (mention silently your special intentions).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.

AUGUST 4: DESIRE FOR HEAVEN
O Holy Priest of Ars, your precious remains are contained in a magnificent reliquary, the donation from the priests of France. But this earthly glory is only a very pale image of the unspeakable glory which you are enjoying with God. During the time you were on earth, you used to repeat in your dejected hours, 'one will rest in the other life." It is done, you are in eternal peace, and eternal happiness.
I desire to follow you one day. Until then, I hear you saying to me:
"You should work and fight as long as you are in the world."
Teach me then to work for the salvation of my soul, to spread the good news and good example and to do good towards those around me in order that I will receive the happiness of the Elect with you.
Holy Priest of Ars, I have confidence in your intercession. Pray for me during this novena especially for ... (mention silently your special intentions).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.
O St John Vianney, Patron of Priests, pray for us and for all priests!

PRAYER FOR THE PROPAGATION OF THE FLAME OF LOVE
Blessed Virgin Mary, our cherished heavenly Mother, you love so much God and us, your children, that you offer us to your divine Son Jesus on the Cross, to forgive us by our Heavenly Father and to obtain our salvation, so that all those who believe in Him do not perish but obtain the Eternal Life. With a filial confidence, we pray to you, Virgin Mary, that with the Flame of Love of your Immaculate Heart, kindled by the Holy Spirit, you ignite in our languid hearts the fire of a perfect love for God and all the humans, so that together with you, with one heart, we love God and our neighbor. Help us to transmit this holy Flame to all the people of goodwill, so that the Flame of Love extinguishes the fire of hatred everywhere on earth and that Jesus, the Prince of Peace, be the King and the centre of all the hearts in the Sacrament of His Love on the Throne of our altars. Amen.

PRAYER OF REPARATION TO THE SACRED HEART
O sweet Jesus, Whose overflowing charity for me is requited by so much
forgetfulness, negligence and contempt, behold us prostrate before Your
altar (in Your Presence) eager to repair by a special act of homage the cruel
indifference and injuries, to which Your loving Heart is everywhere subject.
Mindful alas! that we ourselves have had a share in such great indignities,
which we now deplore from the depths of our hearts, we humbly ask Your
pardon and declare our readiness to atone by voluntary expiation not only
for our own personal offenses, but also for the sins of those, who, straying
for from the path of salvation, refuse in their obstinate infidelity to follow
You, their Shepherd and Leader, or, renouncing the vows of their baptism,
have cast off the sweet yoke of Your Law.
We are now resolved to expiate each and every deplorable outrage
committed against You; we are determined to make amends for the
manifold offenses against Christian modesty in unbecoming dress and
behavior, for all the foul seductions laid to ensnare the feet of the innocent,
for the frequent violations of Sundays and Holy days, and the shocking
blasphemies uttered against You and Your Saints.
We wish also to make amends for the insults to which Your Vicar on earth
and Your priests are subjected, for the profanation, by conscious neglect or
terrible acts of sacrilege, of the very Sacrament of Your Divine Love; and
lastly for the public crimes of nations who resist the rights and teaching
authority of the Church which You have founded.
Would, O Divine Jesus, we were able to wash away such abominations with
our blood. We now offer, in reparation for these violations of Your Divine
Honor, the satisfaction You once made to Your Eternal Father on the Cross
and which You continue to renew daily on our altars; we offer it in union
with the acts of atonement of Your Virgin Mother and all the Saints and of
the pious faithful on earth; and we sincerely promise to make recompense,
as far as we can with the help of Your grace, for all neglect of Your great
Love and for the sins we and others have committed in the past.
Henceforth, we will live a life of unwavering faith, of purity of conduct, of
perfect observance of the precepts of the gospel and especially that of
charity. We promise to the best of our power to prevent others from
offending You and to bring as many as possible to follow You.
O Loving Jesus, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our
model in reparation, deign to receive the voluntary offering we make of this
act of expiation; and by the crowing gift of perseverance keep us faithful
unto death in our duty and the allegiance we owe to You, so that we may
one day come to that happy home, where You with the Father and the Holy
Spirit lives and reigns, God, world without end. Amen.

Holy Spirit Novena
Dearest Holy Spirit, confiding in Your deep, personal love for me, I am making this novena for the following request, if it be Your Holy Will to grant it:
(mention your request).
Teach me, Divine Spirit, to know and seek my last end; grant me the holy fear of God; grant me true contrition and patience.
Do not let me fall into sin. Give me an increase of faith, hope and charity, and bring forth in my soul all the virtues proper to my state in life.
Make me a faithful disciple of Jesus and an obedient child of the Church. Give me efficacious grace sufficient to keep the Commandments and to receive the Sacraments worthily.
Give me the four Cardinal Virtues, Your Seven Gifts, Your Twelve Fruits.
Raise me to perfection in the state of life to which You have called me and lead me through a happy death to everlasting life.
I ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.

54-Day Rosary Novena
This Novena -- actually one cycle of three 9-Day Novenas followed by another cycle of three 9-Day Novenas -- (3 Novenas)X(9 days each)=27 days; (27 days)X(2 cycles)=54 days -- is said to be especially efficacious. It has its origins in a private revelation granted in 1884 to the family of Fortuna Agrelli, a girl who was so seriously ill that her doctors had given up on her. She and her family began praying the Rosary, and saw a vision of Our Lady, sitting on a throne and holding the Christ Child, with a Rosary in her hands, and accompanied by SS Dominic and Catherine of Siena. Fortuna addressed Our Lady: "Queen of the Holy Rosary, be gracious to me, restore me to health! I have already prayed to Thee in a novena, O Mary, but have not yet experienced Thy aid. I am so anxious to be cured!"
Our Lady is said to have replied: "Child, you have invoked me by various titles and have always obtained favors from me. Now, since you have called Me by that title so pleasing to me, ‘Queen of the Holy Rosary’, I can no longer refuse the favor you petition; for this name is most precious and dear to me. Make three novenas, and you shall obtain all."
The Queen of the Holy Rosary is said to have appeared again, saying: "Whoever desires to obtain favors from me should make three novenas of the prayers of the Rosary, and three novenas in thanksgiving."
Pray the Rosary (5 decades) once a day for 27 days in the spirit of petition, with your intentions in mind.
Then pray the Rosary (5 decades) once a day for 27 days in the spirit of thanksgiving -- whether you believe your petitions have been granted or not.
Start the entire cycle with the Joyful Mysteries first, the Sorrowful Mysteries second, and ending with the Glorious Mysteries.

Daily Prayer
Lord, I am living in a wicked world, surrounded with dangers that lead to perdition. I am like a child, not knowing how to walk on, or follow the true way. Give, therefore, to Thy servant an understanding heart to discern between good and evil. Make me understand how great an evil sin is, and how great a good it is to love Thee above all things. Give me a great hatred of sin, the gift of devout prayer, and make me love Thee most ardently to the end of my life. Amen.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Dear Father, in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, I ask you to stir up within me the fullness of Your Holy Spirit. Help me to grow in my relationship with the Third Person of Your Holy Trinity and to live in His power and use His gifts. Lord Jesus, You promised, "The Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you" (John 14:26). Help me to remember that I don't know everything, and that this is okay, because the Holy Spirit understands it all. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and His understanding of everything that is happening in my life. O Holy Spirit, Jesus asked the Father to give me the Spirit of Truth (John 14:17). Help me to recognize You in the scriptures. Open my mind to understand Your truths, and open my heart to accept Your truths in faith even before I gain right understanding. O Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "The one who receives the seed that falls on good soil hears the word and understands it. He produces an abundant crop" (Matt. 13:23). Be the gardener of my life. Nourish the seeds of heaven that You have already placed within me and make it grow so that Your love, Your ways, and Your kingdom will always grow within me and produce much good fruit for others. O Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "Do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you what you should say" (Luke 12:11-12). Help me to trust in You always. Help me to remember that with You, nothing is impossible, and that You work everything according to what is good and right and timely, even if it doesn't seem so to me. O Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and everything else you need will be given to you as well" (Matt. 6:33). Help me to let go of all my earthly attachments. First help me to recognize what I am attached to that is not of You, and then hold my hand as I walk away from the things of the world. Give me the determination and the strength to let go so that I have no other gods before me. I want only You. O Holy Spirit, You are the Comforter. Help me to let go of the losses in my life. Heal my heart. And help me to face my sinfulness and to feel genuine sorrow for the damage ~ both intentional and unintentional ~ that I have inflicted on others and in so doing have inflicted on Jesus. Comfort me as I mourn my need for forgiveness, and give me Your spirit of rejoicing over this new growth in me. O Holy Spirit, Jesus freely chose to suffer and die for me because of His tremendous love for me. I have pains in my life ~ hurts, wounds, sufferings, trials, difficulties ~ and I want to run from them. Strengthen me to follow in Jesus' footsteps so that I can walk my road to Calvary without fearing evil, and lead me into my new life of victory and resurrection. O Holy Spirit, Jesus said that He would not leave us orphans, but would send You to us (John 14:18). How often I have wept or complained because it seemed like You were not with me in my sorrows and sufferings! Help me to recognize Your presence in ALL situations. Help me to turn to You and find You, for You never leave me nor abandon me. You care even more about me and my problems than I do. You are working a plan for my benefit, to make good come from everything that happens to me. Help me to discover Your presence in every moment of my life. O Holy Spirit, by the cross of Jesus we are healed! By His resurrection we live in the new life of total, unconditional love. Help me to share that healing love with all those around me. Jesus commanded, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." Help me to declare with power the Good News of Jesus Christ. Send me to where You can use my gifts and talents to make a difference. O Holy Spirit, You gave Yourself to the Virgin Mary and she said "yes" to becoming the mother of the Messiah. Help me to say "yes!" to whatever it is You are calling me to do. I want to serve the Father and make Jesus' love more evident in the world around me. O Holy Spirit, I have my own expectations about what I should and should not do. I now surrender to You my ideas, my limitations, my preferences, and my goals. Fill me, Holy Spirit, with all Your supernatural gifts! Empower me to accept and grow in the supernatural life as much as the early disciples did. I want to be useful to You. I want to go where You lead me. Holy Spirit, send me forth gifted and empowered to make a difference spreading the Good News of God's forgiving love. Come, Holy Spirit; renew me. In Jesus' name, Amen!

Offering of the Heart Virgin Mary
Most loving Mother, please give me a heart like yours, firm in its attachments and of unshakable loyalty, an affectionate heart which radiates a discreet tenderness and which is open, a pure heart which lives in the flesh without being burdened by it, a generous heart, quick in forgetting its hurts and always ready to forgive, a considerate heart which hides a great deal of love in the smallest details, in the most humble service, a magnanimous heart which rejoices in other's triumphs and shares in their sorrows, a heart which condemns no one, and does not tire of being confided to, a heart taken up by Christ, totally given to His infinite love. Amen.

A MORNING PLEA FOR DIVINE ASSISTANCE
Father, I come to You this day asking You, in Jesus Name, to take me just as I am and transform me into the creature that You desire me to be. Please send Your Holy Spirit to guide me throughout this day. O Lord, help me to be myself, striving to be better, and to look forward, in thanksgiving, to You, Father, for all Your blessings around me. I ask Your help in honesty, to You, myself and others. I ask for the Grace to admit my faults. I ask Your forgiveness and Your Mercy and accept Your great love. I ask You to help me read Your Word, Lord Jesus, and grant me the Grace to go by Your promises and acts, not my feelings. Please help me today, Lord, to take the opportunities You give me to share the goodness You have given me with others. I thank You for this day, Lord, and for the additional time that You have given me. Please help me to use it for Your Honor and your Glory, in Jesus Name. Amen!

HEALING PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I call upon You right now in a special way. It is through Your Power that I was created. Every breath I take, every morning I wake and every moment of every hour, I live under Your Power. I ask You now to please touch me and all those I hold dear with that same Power. For if You created me from nothing, You can certainly recreate me. Fill me with the healing power of Your spirit. Cast out anything that should not be in me. Mend what is broken. Root out any unproductive cells and rejuvenate those that remain. Please open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild all damaged organs and areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infections. Let the warmth of Your healing Love pass through my body and those that I love, to make new any unhealthy areas so that our bodies will function the way You created them to function. And Father, please also restore us to full health in mind, body and soul so that we may always serve You and give You glory while embracing Your Perfect Will with humble and joyful hearts. Amen.

NOVENA TO SAINT BENEDICT
Glorious St. Benedict who taught us the way to religious perfection by the practice of self-conquest, mortification, humility, obedience, prayer, silence, retirement and detachment from the world, I kneel at your feet and humbly beg you to take my present need under your special protection (mention here). Vouchsafe to recommend it to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and lay it before the throne of Jesus. Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted. Above all, obtain for me the grace to one day meet God face to face, and with you and Mary and all the angels and saints to praise Him through all eternity. O most powerful Saint Benedict, do not let me lose my soul, but obtain for me the grace of winning my way to heaven, there to worship and enjoy the most holy and adorable Trinity forever and ever. Amen. Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be.

PRAYER TO REDEEM LOST TIME
O my God! Source of all mercy! I acknowledge Thy sovereign power. While recalling the wasted years that are past, I believe that Thou, Lord, can in an instant turn this loss to gain. Miserable as I am, yet I firmly believe that Thou can do all things. Please restore to me the time lost, giving me Thy grace, both now and the future, that I may appear before Thee in "wedding garments." Amen.

Irresistible Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
O my Jesus Who didst say: “Indeed I say to you, ask and it shall be given you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.” Here I am, knocking, seeking, and asking the grace (mention your request).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be… Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in Thee.
O my Jesus who didst say: “Indeed I say to you, whatever you shall ask the Father in My name, it shall be granted to you.” Here I am, asking Thy Father in Thy name for the grace (mention your request).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be… Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in Thee.
O my Jesus who didst say: “Indeed I say to you, heaven and earth shall pass, but my words shall not pass.” Here I am, and supporting myself on the infallibility of Thy words, I ask Thee the grace (mention your request).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be… Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in Thee.
Prayer
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom only one thing is impossible and that is not to feel compassion for the wretched, have pity on us, miserable sinners, and grant us the grace which we ask Thee through the Immaculate Heart of She who is Thy tender Mother and also ours. Hail Holy Queen…
Memorare…
Saint Joseph foster father of Jesus, pray for us.

I promise thee, in the excessive mercy of My Heart, that My all-powerful love will grant to all who communicate on the first Friday of the month for nine consecutive months the grace of final penitence; they shall not die in My displeasure nor without the sacraments; My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.

Here is St. Faustina's beautiful prayer on mercy:
Help Me Be Merciful
+O Most Holy Trinity! As many times as I breathe, as many times as my heart beats, as many times as my blood pulsates through my body, so many thousand times do I want to glorify Your mercy. +I want to be completely transformed into Your mercy and to be Your living reflection, 0 Lord. May the greatest of all divine attributes, that of Your unfathomable mercy, pass through my heart and soul to my neighbor. Help me, O Lord, that my eyes may be merciful, so that I may never suspect or judge from appearances, but look for what is beautiful in my neighbors' souls and come to their rescue. Help me, that my ears may be merciful, so that I may give heed to my neighbors' needs and not be indifferent to their pains and moanings. Help me, O Lord, that my tongue may be merciful, so that I should never speak negatively of my neighbor, but have a word of comfort and forgiveness for all. Help me, O Lord, that my hands may be merciful and filled with good deeds, so that I may do only good to my neighbors and take upon myself the more difficult and toilsome tasks. Help me, that my feet may be merciful, so that I may hurry to assist my neighbor, overcoming my own fatigue and weariness. My true rest is in the service of my neighbor. Help me, O Lord, that my heart may be merciful so that I myself may feel all the sufferings of my neighbor. I will refuse my heart to no one. I will be sincere even with those who, I know, will abuse my kindness. And I will lock myself up in the most merciful Heart of Jesus. I will bear my own suffering in silence. May Your mercy, O Lord, rest upon me. +You yourself command me to exercise the three degrees of mercy. The first: the act of mercy, of whatever kind. The second: the word of mercy - if I cannot carry out a work of mercy, I will assist by my words. The third: prayer - if I cannot show mercy by deeds or words, I can always do so by prayer. My prayer reaches out even there where I cannot reach out physically. O my Jesus, transform me into Yourself, for you can do all things. (Diary, 163)

FOREWORD
The novena in honor of the Holy Spirit is the oldest of all novenas since it was first made at the direction of Our Lord Himself when He sent His apostles back to Jerusalem to await the coming of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost. It is still the only novena officially prescribed by the Church. Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a powerful plea for the light and strength and love so sorely needed by every Christian.

Novena to the Holy Spirit for the Seven Gifts
ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
On my knees before the great multitude of heavenly witnesses, I offer myself, soul and body to You, Eternal Spirit of God. I adore the brightness of Your purity, the unerring keenness of Your justice, and the might of Your love. You are the Strength and Light of my soul. In You I live and move and am. I desire never to grieve You by unfaithfulness to grace and I pray with all my heart to be kept from the smallest sin against You. Mercifully guard my every thought and grant that I may always watch for Your light, and listen to Your voice, and follow Your gracious inspirations. I cling to You and give myself to You and ask You, by Your compassion to watch over me in my weakness. Holding the pierced Feet of Jesus and looking at His Five Wounds, and trusting in His Precious Blood and adoring His opened Side and stricken Heart, I implore You, Adorable Spirit, Helper of my infirmity, to keep me in Your grace that I may never sin against You. Give me grace, O Holy Spirit, Spirit of the Father and the Son to say to You always and everywhere, "Speak Lord for Your servant heareth." Amen.
To be recited daily during the Novena
PRAYER FOR THE SEVEN GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
O Lord Jesus Christ Who, before ascending into heaven did promise to send the Holy Spirit to finish Your work in the souls of Your Apostles and Disciples, deign to grant the same Holy Spirit to me that He may perfect in my soul, the work of Your grace and Your love. Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom that I may despise the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal, the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten my mind with the light of Your divine truth, the Spirit of Counsel that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining heaven, the Spirit of Fortitude that I may bear my cross with You and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation, the Spirit of Knowledge that I may know God and know myself and grow perfect in the science of the Saints, the Spirit of Piety that I may find the service of God sweet and amiable, and the Spirit of Fear that I may be filled with a loving reverence towards God and may dread in any way to displease Him. Mark me, dear Lord, with the sign of Your true disciples and animate me in all things with Your Spirit. Amen. (To be recited daily during the Novena) © 1912 Holy Spirit Fathers Prayer for Freedom from Addictions God, please break the shackles of addiction that imprison me. I have fallen into this trap and cannot escape by my own strength. I humbly ask to be freed from all disordered appetites and compulsive desires so that I can regain happiness and fulfill your plan for my life. God please heal my wounded relationships. May I strive to be an instrument of reconciliation and mercy to those who have hurt me along the way, and may I seek heartfelt forgiveness from all those that I have offended. God, I need Your courage to honestly see my own faults and weaknesses, Your strength and wisdom to overcome them and Your peace to put my soul at rest. Please give me the self knowledge and strength of will needed to fight off the temptations that seek to prevent my recovery. Please God, take away from me the taste and desire for my vices; may those things that I once craved to my detriment now become repulsive to me. Please give me greater faith and trust in Your mercy and strength. I need Your forgiveness and protection. By myself, this new freedom is impossible, but with You, dear God ... all things are possible. I desire to know You, to love You and to be loved by You. Be my new and lasting joy! Amen. General Petition Lord, into the hands of Thy great mercy I commend my body and soul, thoughts and acts, desires and intentions, needs of my body and soul, arrival and departure, my faith and hope. To Thee I commend the end of my life, the day and hour of my expiration, the repose of my soul and the resurrection of my body. Do thou, O Most Merciful God, O gentle Lord, whose clemency is ever unconquered by the sins of the world, take me, who am more sinful than all others, under the wings of Thy protection, and deliver me from all evil. Cleanse the great multitude of my iniquities, grant the reformation of my wicked and hardened life, and ever defend me against approaching evil transgressions, that I in no manner ever anger Thee. Shelter my weakness from passion and evil men; guard me against visible and invisible enemies, lead me on the road to salvation and to Thyself, who art my harbor and the heaven of my desires. Grant me a shameless, peaceful Christian death, protect me from evil spirits, be merciful to me, Thy servant, on Thy last judgment, and number me among the blessed flock on Thy right, that together with them I may glorify Thee, my Creator, forever. Amen.

Asking Forgiveness
O Lord, of Thy heavenly bounties deprive me not. O Lord, deliver me from the eternal torments. O Lord, forgive me if I have sinned in my mind or my thought, whether in word or deed. O Lord, free me from all ignorance and forgetfulness, from despondency and stony insensibility. O Lord, deliver me from every temptation. O Lord, enlighten my heart which evil desires have darkened. O Lord, as a man have I sinned: have Thou mercy on me, as the God full of compassion, seeing the feebleness of my soul. O Lord, send down Thy grace to help me, that I may glorify Thy Holy Name. O Lord Jesus Christ, write me down in the book of life and grant unto me a good end. O Lord my God, even if I had not done anything good before Thee, do Thou help me, in Thy grace, to make a good beginning. O Lord, sprinkle into my heart the dew of thy grace. O Lord of heaven and earth, remember me, Thy sinful servant, full of shame and impurity, in Thy Kingdom. Amen.

In Time of Trouble
O God, our help and our aid in distress, Who art just and merciful, and Who inclines to the supplications of His people, look down upon me, a miserable sinner, have mercy on me, and deliver me from this trouble that besets me, for which, I know, I am deservedly suffering. I acknowledge and believe, O Lord, that all trials of this life are disposed by Thee for our chastisement, when we drift away from Thee and disobey Thy commandments. Deal not with me after my sins, but according to Thy bountiful mercy, for I am the work of Thy hands and Thou knowest my weakness. Grant me, I beseech Thee, Thy divine strength to endure my tribulations with complete submission to Thy will. Thou knowest my misery and sufferings, and to Thee my only hope and refuge, I flee for relief and comfort, trusting in Thy infinite love and compassion, that in due time, when Thou knowest best, thou wilt deliver me from this trouble, and turn my distress into comfort, when I shall rejoice in Thy mercy and exalt and praise Thy Holy Name, O Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: now and always, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

In Sickness
O lord Jesus, Physician of souls and bodies, may Thy presence ever be with me to hallow and bless this my sickness to Thy praise and glory, and to the salvation of my soul. Forgive me all my many sins and want of love for Thee. May I ever fix my thoughts upon Thy great sufferings upon the Cross, that I may learn from Thee courage and patience, humility and love; and above all, true submission to the Father's will, that, being restored to health in Thine own good time I may show forth Thy praise by giving up myself to Thy service. And grant that when this life is ended, I may be found worthy through my merits to inherit eternal life. Amen.

Prayer for the Living
O Lord Jesus Christ, our God, in Thy mercies and loving kindness Thou regardest the humble prayers of all who call upon Thee with their whole heart; incline Thine ear and hear now my prayer, offered to Thee in humility: Be Mindful, O Lord, of Thy Holy, Universal and Apostolic Church; confirm and strengthen her, increase her and keep her in peace, and preserve her unconquerable forever. Be mindful, O Lord, of our bishop (your bishop's name), and of every bishop of the Orthodox Church; the priests and deacons, and all the clergy of the Church, which Thou hast established to feed the flock of Thy word; and by their prayers have mercy upon me and save me, a sinner. Be mindful, O Lord, of all civil authorities, of our armed forces, of this city in which we reside, and of every city and the countryside; grant them peaceful times, that we, in their tranquility, may lead a calm and peaceful life in all godliness and sanctity. Be mindful, O Lord, of my parents, (their names), of my brothers and sisters, (their names), of relatives, (their names), and of my friends, (their names); grant that they may have mercy, life, peace, health, salvation and visitation, pardon and remission of their sins; that they may ever praise and glorify Thy Holy Name. Be mindful, O Lord, of those who travel by land, by sea, and by air; of the old and young, the sick, the suffering, the sorrowing, the afflicted, the captives, the needy and the poor; and upon them all send forth Thy mercies, for Thou art the Giver of all good things. Be mindful, O Lord, of me, Thy humble servant; grant me Thy grace, that I may be diligent and faithful, avoiding evil company and influence, resisting temptation; that I may lead a godly and righteous life, blameless and peaceful, ever serving Thee; that I may be accounted worthy of entering the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen.

Prayer of the Married
My bountiful God, I beseech Thee, listen to my humble prayer, that I may ever feel that the married state is holy and that I must keep it holy. Grant Thy grace that I may never sin against the faithfulness and love of this marriage. Foster between us the spirit of understanding and of peace, that no strife, quarrel or misunderstanding may arise between us. Grant us health and our daily bread, whereby we may serve Thee more. Amen.

Prayer for Parents
O merciful Lord God, Thou hast commanded and enjoined me to honor my father and mother, and Thou Thyself hast shown even until death humble obedience to Thy Father. From the depth of my soul I fervently beseech Thee, O gracious Jesus Christ, my God, hear my prayer and have mercy upon my parents, who have given birth to me and are bringing me up in Thy grace and love. Protect them from all evil, harm and sickness; grant them health, and mercifully pour forth Thy bountiful blessings upon them. Bless their efforts and deeds; have mercy on them according to Thy great mercy, that faithfully serving Thee, through them I also may be worthy to praise and serve Thee. Our Father, Who art in heaven, bless my father and mother, my guardians, and those who are in authority over me, for their love and tender care for me, and the benefits I receive at their hands. Help me, I pray Thee, to be respectful and obedient to them in all matters according to Thy will; and give me Thy grace to perform all my duties carefully and faithfully, to avoid undesirable company and influence, and resist all temptation that may come my way; that I may live a sober, righteous and godly life, ever praising Thee and glorifying Thy Holy Name. Amen.

Prayer for Children
O God, our Heavenly Father, Who lovest mankind, and art most merciful and compassionate, have mercy upon our children, Thy servants, (their names), for whom I humbly pray Thee, and commend them to Thy gracious protection. Be Thou, O God, their guide and guardian in all their endeavors. Lead them in the path of Thy truth, and draw them near to Thee, that they may lead a godly and righteous life in Thy love and fear, doing Thy will in all matters. Give them grace that they may be temperate, industrious, diligent, devout and charitable. Defend them against the assaults of the enemy, and grant them wisdom and strength to resist all temptation and corruption of this life; and direct them in the way of salvation, for the merits of Thy Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, and the intercessions of His Holy Mother, and Thy blessed saints. Amen. Another prayer for the children O Merciful Lord Jesus Christ! To You I entrust our children, which You gave to us... I ask You, Lord, save them in the ways which only You know. Keep them from vices, evil, pride and may nothing touch their souls that is repugnant to You. But faith, hope of salvation, love give to them, that they be chosen vessels of the Holy Spirit unto You, and may their life’s path be holy and pure before God. Bless them, Lord, that they may strive to execute Your Holy Will, so that You could always be with them in Your Holy Spirit! Lord! Teach them to pray to You, so that their prayer be a support, a joy, in grief and comfort in their lives. May Your Angels protect them always! May our children be sensitive to the grief of their close ones and may they fulfill Your commandment of love. And, if they sin, permit them, Lord, to bring You repentance, and You in Your (immeasurable) mercy forgive them. When their earthly life ends, take them to Your Heavenly Residences, to which they may also lead others with them. By the prayers of Your Ever-Pure Lady Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary and Your Saints ... Lord, have mercy and save us. Glory to You with Your Everlasting Father and with Your Ever-Holy Lifegiving Spirit, now and ever, unto ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer for Enemies Lord Jesus Christ, Who didst command us to love our enemies, and those who defame and injure us, and to pray for them and forgive them; Who Thyself didst pray for Thine enemies who crucified thee: grant us, we pray, the spirit of Christian reconciliation and meekness, that we may heartily forgive every injury and be reconciled with our enemies. Grant us to overcome the malevolence and offences of people with Christian meekness and true love of our neighbor. We further beseech Thee, O Lord, to grant to our enemies true peace and forgiveness of sins; and do not allow them to leave this life without true faith and sincere conversion. And help us repay evil with goodness, and to remain safe from the temptations of the devil and from all the perils which threaten us, in the form of visible and invisible enemies. Amen.

Prayers of Thanksgiving
O Lord my Savior and my Master, I, Thine unprofitable servant, with fear and trembling give thanks unto Thy loving goodness for all Thy benefits which Thou hast poured so abundantly upon me, Thy servant. I fall down in adoration before Thee and offer Thee, O God, my praises. With fervor I cry to Thee: O God, deliver me henceforth from all adversities and mercifully fulfill in me such of my desires as may be expedient for me. Hear me, I entreat Thee, and have mercy, for Thou art the Hope of all the ends of the earth, and unto Thee, with the Father, and the Holy Spirit, be ascribed glory, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen. I praise Thee, O God of our Fathers, I hymn Thee, I bless Thee, I give thanks unto thee for Thy great and tender mercy. To Thee I flee, O merciful and mighty God. Shine into my heart with the True Sun of Thy righteousness. Enlighten my mind and keep all my senses, that henceforth I may walk uprightly and keep Thy commandments, and may finally attain unto eternal life, even to Thee, Who art the source of life, and be admitted to the glorious fruition of Thine inaccessible Light. For Thou art my God, and unto Thee, O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, be ascribed glory, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer for the Departed
O Master, Lord our God, Who in Thy wisdom hast created man, and didst honor him with Thy Divine image, and place in him the spirit of life, and lead him into this world, bestowing on him the hope of resurrection and life everlasting; and after he had violated Thy commandments, Thou O Gracious lover of mankind, didst descend to the earth that Thou might renew again the creation of Thy hands. Therefore we pray Thee, O All-Holy Master give rest to the souls of Thy servants, (their names), in a place of brightness, a place of green pasture, a place of repose, and, in that they have sinned in word, or deed or thought forgive them: For Thou art a good God and love mankind and unto Thee do we ascribe Glory, together with Thy Father, Who is from everlasting and Thine All-Holy and good, and ever giving Spirit, now, and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

PRAYER TO REDEEM LOST TIME O my God!

Penitential Prayers Litany of Penitential Saints | The Seven Penitential Psalms | The Thirty First Psalm| The Sixth Psalm | Thirty Seventh Psalm | The Hundred and First Psalm | The Hundred and Twenty ninth Psalm | The Hundred and Forty Second Psalm | Introductory Prayers (Written by Fr. C.P. Fox, Vincentian) O' Just Father, Lord GOD, Holy and always to be praised, the hour is come for thy servant to be tried. O' Father, worthy of all love, it is fitting that I thy servant should at this hour suffer something for Thee. O' Father, always to be honored, the hour is come that thy servant should be slighted and humbled, that he should be afflicted with sufferings, so that he may rise again with thee in the dawning of a new life and be glorified forever in Heaven. O' Holy Father, Thou hast so appointed, and such is Thy Will, for this is a favor to thy friend that he should suffer and be afflicted in this world for the love of Thee. It is good for me, O' Lord, that Thou dost now humble me, that I may bear what pleaseth Thee and that I may cast away from me all pride and presumption. It is to my advantage that shame doth now cover my face, that I may wisely seek my comfort from Thee rather than from men. Thanks be to Thee that Thou dost not spare me in my sufferings but dost now bruise me with bitter stripes, inflicting pains and distress, O' Heavenly Physician of souls, who dost wound and heal us, who dost bring us down and then raise us up again. Thy discipline is on me, and Thy rod shall instruct me. Behold, Father, I am in Thy hands. I bow myself under the scourge of Thy correction. Strike Thou my back and my neck that I may bend my crookedness to Thy Will, that I may walk at Thy beck at all times. To Thee I commit myself and all that is mine to be corrected by Thee. For it is better to be chastised in this world rather than in hell or Purgatory. Do with me then according to Thy good pleasure. This is what I desire. Despise not my sinful life so clearly known to Thee. O' Lord Jesus Christ, as a sign of my desire to be a co-victim with Thee in Thy Sacred Passion, on the Cross and in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, I now kiss devoutly the instrument which is about to cause me pain (now kiss the rope) and this pain in my body I willingly accept in union with Thy Most bitter pains which Thou didst endure for me in Thy Sacred Passion and Death; and this penance of mine I bare entirely on Thy infinite Merits. For in doing it I reject entirely any motives of self-satisfaction or vanity and I wish only to be more like Thee, and to have a deeper and yet always a subordinate share in Thy great redemptive act performed for love of me on Mt. Calvary. Thus my motives in accepting willingly the pain of this scourging, are: * to make reparation in my own flesh for all my personal sins and for the sins of the whole world. * for better self conquest and ability to conquer temptations. * to draw down ever more of Thy graces and blessings on myself and others, on Thy Holy Catholic Church and especially on those who most need these graces and blessings, and including these my special intentions (Pause to name them). As for my own body, its wicked inclinations have all too often led me into sin against Thee, O' Jesus; and so it is only right that this body of mine should now pay with sharp pain for all the sins which it has caused me to commit. Therefore I have deserved nothings but stripes, welts and punishments, because I have grieviously and often offended Thee and sinned in many different ways. Indeed, what have I deserved for my sins but hell and everlasting fire? In truth I confess that I am worthy of all scorn and contempt and it is not fitting that I should be named among Thy devout servants, and though it goes against me to hear this, yet for truth's sake I will condemn myself for my sins; and by Thy grace, O' Jesus, I will now willingly accept punishment in my body for them. O' Mary, My Heavenly Mother and Model in reparation, though sinless Thyself, Thou didst suffer beneath Thy Divine Son's Cross on Mt. Calvary in reparation for all these sins of mine and for the sins of others. For all these sins help me now to suffer sharp pain in my body. O' all ye holy Saints of GOD, who so often scourged yourselves in penance as I am now about to do and whose names I am about to invoke in the following Litany, help me to scourge my body, never from vanity or self gratification, but only from the same sublime motives which led you to do it and thus to have a greater share in Christ's redemptive Passion as you did. O' My Jesus, I unite this pain of mine, which my sins well deserve, to Thy most bitter torments O' Lord, here burn, here cut, but spare me for eternity. My Jesus Mercy! My Jesus Mercy! Mercy my Jesus! (Repeat this short invocation during Scourging).

Let us pray O' Almighty and Eternal GOD, who dost wish that all souls do penance and confess their sins, be converted rather than be lost, turn away the anger of Thy indignation from me Thy sinful servant and at the sight of my body being chastised and scourged, as it is now about to be mercifully set me, and those for whom I pray, free from the hateful influences of the devil, forgive our sins; and weaken more and more the power of those temptations which so often attack us, and would drag us down again into the very sins which we now so much deplore. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen. +
The Scourging now takes place.
Afterwards, the 7 Penitential Psalms are recited including any other prayer.
The Scourging should always begin with prayer and end in prayer.

THE SEVEN PENITENTIAL PSALMS
The Antiphon: Remember not, O' Lord, our offenses, nor those of our parents; and take not revenge for our sins.

THE SIXTH PSALM

Lord, rebuke me not in Thy indignation; nor chastise me in Thy wrath. Have mercy on me, O' lord, because I am weak; heal me, O' Lord, because my bones are troubled. And my soul is troubled exceedingly; but Thou, O' Lord, how long? Turn, O' Lord, and deliver my soul; save me, for Thy mercies sake. For there is none in death that is mindful of Thee; and who will confess to Thee in hell? I have been tired with groaning: every night I will wash my bed: I will water my couch with my tears. My eye is troubled with fury; I am grown old amidst all my enemies. Depart from me, all ye that work iniquity, for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping . The Lord hath heard my petition: the Lord hath received my prayer. Let all my enemies be ashamed, and be troubled exceedingly; let them be turned back, and ashamed very speedily. Glory be to the Father...

THE THIRTY FIRST PSALM

Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord hath not imputed sin: and in whose spirit there is no guile. Because I have been silent, my bones have grown old, whilst I cried out all the day. For day and night Thy hand was heavy upon me: I am turned in my anguish, whilst the thorn is fastened. I have acknowledged my sin to Thee: and my injustice I have not concealed. I said, I will confess against myself my injustice to the Lord: and Thou hast forgiven the impiety of my sin. For this shall every one that is holy pray to Thee, in a seasonable time. Yet, in The deluge of many waters, they shall not come near Him. Thou art my refuge from the tribulation which hath surrounded me; my joy, deliver me from them that encompass me. I will give Thee understanding, and instruct Thee in the way Thou shalt go. I will fix my eyes upon Thee. Do not become like the horse and mule which have no understanding. With bit and bridle bind fast the jaws of those who do not approach Thee. Many are the scourges of the sinner; but mercy shall encompass Him that hopeth in the Lord. Be joyful in the Lord, and rejoice, ye just, and glory, all ye right of heart. Glory be to the Father...

THIRTY SEVENTH PSALM

Lord, rebuke me not in Thy indignation, nor chastise me in Thy anger. For Thy arrows are fastened in me, and Thy hand has been heavy upon me. There is no health in my flesh, because of Thy wrath: there is no peace in my bones, because of my sins. My iniquities are grown above my head; and like a heavy burden, they are become heavy upon me. My sores are putrified and corrupted: because of my foolishness. I am miserable, and am bowed down even to the end: I walked sorrowful all the day. For my loins are filled with illusions; and there is no health in my flesh. I am afflicted and humbled exceedingly: I roared in the groaning of my heart. Lord, all my desire is before Thee; and my groaning is not hidden from Thee. My heart is troubled, my strength hath left me; and the light of my eyes itself is not with me. My friends and my neighbors have drawn near, and stood up against me. And they that were nearest to me stood afar off; and they that sought my soul used violence. And they that sought evils to me spoke vain things, and studied deceits all the day. But I, as a deaf man, did not hear; and was as a dumb person that opens not His mouth. For in Thee, O' Lord, have I hoped; Thou wilt hear me, O' Lord my GOD. For I said, lest at any time my enemies rejoice over me; and whilst my feet are moved, they speak great things against me. For I am prepared for scourges, and my sorrow is continually in my sight. For I will declare my iniquity, and think of my sin. But my enemies live and are become stronger than I; and they that hate me unjustly are multiplied. They who return evil for good, detracted me, because I followed goodness. Forsake me not, O' Lord my GOD; depart not from me. Come unto my aid, O' Lord, the GOD of my salvation. Glory be to the Father...

FIFTIETH PSALM

Have mercy on me, O' GOD, according to Thy great mercy. And according to the multitude of Thy tender mercies, blot out my iniquity. Wash me yet more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me. To Thee only have I sinned, and have done evil before Thee; that Thou mayest be justified in Thy words, and mayest overcome when Thou art judged. For, behold, I was conceived in iniquities, and in sins did my mother conceive me. For, behold, Thou hast loved truth; the uncertain and hidden things of Thy wisdom Thou hast made manifest to me. Thou wilt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: Thou wilt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow. To my hearing Thou wilt give joy and gladness; and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice. Turn away Thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create a clean heart in me, O' GOD; and renew a right spirit within my bowels. Cast me not away from Thy face; and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation; and strengthen me with a perfect spirit. I will teach thy ways to the unjust; and the wicked shall be converted to Thee. Deliver me from blood, O' GOD, the GOD of my salvation; and my tongue shall extol Thy justice. Lord, Thou wilt open my lips; and my mouth shall declare Thy praise. For if Thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would, indeed, have given it; with burnt offerings Thou will not be delighted. A sacrifice to GOD is an afflicted spirit; a contrite and humbled heart, O' GOD, Thou wilt not despise. Deal favorably, O' Lord, in Thy goodwill with Sion, that the walls of Jerusalem may be built up. Then wilt Thou accept a sacrifice of justice, oblations, and whole burnt-offerings; and shall they lay calves on the altar. Glory be to the Father...

Psalm 51

"Have mercy on me, God, in your goodness; in your abundant compassion blot out my offense. Wash away all my guilt; from my sin cleanse me. For I know my offense; my sin is always before me. Against you alone have I sinned; I have done such evil in your sight That you are just in your sentence, blameless when you condemn. True, I was born guilty, a sinner, even as my mother conceived me. Still, you insist on sincerity of heart; in my inmost being teach me wisdom. Cleanse me with hyssop, that I may be pure; wash me, make me whiter than snow. Let me hear sounds of joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Turn away your face from my sins; blot out all my guilt. Create in me a clean heart, O God and put a new and right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation; sustain in me a willing spirit. I will teach the wicked your ways, that sinners may return to you. Rescue me from death, God, my saving God, that my tongue may praise your healing power. Lord, open my lips; my mouth will proclaim your praise. For you do not desire sacrifice; a burnt offering you would not accept. The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not spurn."

THE HUNDRED AND FIRST PSALM

O' Lord, hear my prayer, and let my cry come unto Thee. Turn not away Thy face from me: in what day soever I am in tribulation, incline Thy ear to me. For my days are vanished like smoke; and my bones are grown dry like fuel for the fire. I am smitten, and my heart is withered like grass; because I forgot to eat my bread. Through the voice of my groaning, my bones have cleaved to my flesh. I am become like a pelican of the wilderness: I am become like a night raven in the house. I have watched, and am become as solitary as a sparrow upon the house-top. My enemies upbraid me all day; and they that praise me, swore against me. For I did eat ashes as bread, and mingle my drink with my tears. Because of Thy wrath and indignation; for having lifted me up, Thou hast cast me down. My days have declined like a shadow; and I am withered like grass. But Thou, O' Lord, remainest for ever; and Thy memory from generation to generation. Thou wilt arise and have mercy on Sion; for the time to have mercy on it is come. For the stones thereof have pleased Thy servants; and they shall pity on the earth thereof. And the Gentiles shall fear Thy name, O' Lord; and all the kings of the earth Thy glory. For the Lord hath built Sion; and He will be seen in His glory. He hath regard to the prayer of the humble; and hath not despised their petition. Let these things be written unto another generation; and the people that shall be created shall praise the Lord. Because He hath looked forth from His high sanctuary; the Lord from Heaven hath looked down upon the earth. That He might hear the groans of them that are in fetters: that He might unbind the children of them that are slain. That they may declare the name of the Lord in Sion; and His praise in Jerusalem. When the people assembled together; and kings to serve the Lord. He answered Him in the way of His strength: declare unto me the fewness of my days. Call me not back in the midst of my days; Thy years are from generation to generation. In the beginning, O' Lord, Thou didst found the earth; and the heavens are the work of Thy hands. They shall perish, but Thou remainest: and all shall grow old, like a garment. And as a vesture thou wilt change them, and they shall be changed. But Thou art always the same; and Thy years shall not fail. The children of Thy servants shall continue; and their seed shall be directed for ever. Glory be to the Father...

THE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-NINTH PSALM

From the depths I have cried unto Thee, O' Lord; hear my voice. Let Thy ears be attentive to the voice of my petition. If Thou wilt observe iniquities, O' Lord, Lord, who shall sustain it? For with Thee there is merciful forgiveness and by reason of thy law I have expected Thee, O' Lord. My soul hath relied on His word: my soul hath hoped in the Lord. Because with the Lord there is mercy: and with him plentiful redemption. And he will redeem Israel from all its iniquities. Glory be to the Father...

THE HUNDRED AND FORTY-SECOND PSALM

Lord, hear my prayer; give ear to my supplication in Thy truth; hear me in Thy justice. And enter not into judgment with Thy sight no man living shall be justified. For the enemy hath persecuted my soul: he hath humbled my life to the earth. He hath made me dwell in darkness, as those who have been dead of old: and my spirit is in anguish: my heart is troubled within me. I remember the days of old, I meditated on all Thy works: on the works of Thy hands did I meditate. I stretched forth my hands to Thee; my soul is to Thee as earth without water. Hear me quickly, O' Lord, my spirit hath fainted. Turn not away Thy face from me; lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. Cause me to hear Thy mercy in the morning; because I have hoped in Thee. Make the way known to me wherein I should walk; for I have lifted up my soul to Thee. Deliver me from my enemies, O' Lord; to Thee have I fled, teach me to do Thy will; for Thou art my GOD. Thy good spirit will conduct me in the right way; for Thy name's sake, O' Lord, Thou wilt quicken me in Thy justice. Thou wilt bring forth my soul out of tribulations; and in Thy mercy Thou wilt destroy my enemies. And Thou wilt destroy all that afflict my soul, for I am Thy servant. Glory be to the Father... The Antiphon: Remember not, O' Lord, our offenses, nor those of our parents; and take not revenge for our sins.

Prayer for Mercy
Lord, Jesus Christ, eternal and merciful God, Creator and Redeemer of all, listen to my prayer. For the love Thou doth bear to those who ask forgiveness, look on me with mercy, as once Thou didst look on Mary Magdalen, and on Peter who denied Thee. Look on me, Lord Jesus Christ, as Thou didst looked at the thief on his cross and on every sinner whom Thou hast ever forgiven. Look on me, merciful Lord, as Thou didst look on Thy Mother, Mary, standing in sorrow beneath Thy Cross. Let me feel in my heart her compassion for Thee, and let my eyes weep for Thy sorrows, caused by my sinful life. Call me back from the darkness to my Father's house, give me a new heart and a place at Thy side in the banquet Thou hast prepared for me. Amen.

The Little Crown of the Blessed Virgin
The "Little Crown of the Blessed Virgin" is a chaplet (a "crown" or "chaplet" is a string of beads, like the Rosary, or the accompanying prayers) also known as the "Triple Crown of the Twelve Stars of the Blessed Virgin" because it is based on St. John the Divine's vision of Our Lady in the Apocalypse: Apocalypse 11:19-12:1 And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple, and there were lightnings, and voices, and an earthquake, and great hail. And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars... This chaplet is prayed to honor each of those twelve stars as they symbolize her motherhood and queenship over all Israel, the twelve stars representing the 12 Tribes and the 12 Apostles. This devotion consists of 12 Aves -- one for each star -- broken up into 3 groups, each group representing an aspect of Mary's virtues: excellence, power, and goodness. Each group begins with a Pater, and ends with a Glory Be. The entire Crown, then, is the praying of the following arrangement of prayers three times: 1 Pater 4 Aves 1 Glory Be The above method is the oldest method, but St. Louis-Marie de Montfort (A.D. 31 January 1673 - 28 April 1716), who encouraged consecration to Jesus through Mary, added opening prayers, short praises after each Ave, and concluding prayers. This is the style of the "Little Crown of the Blessed Virgin" below, but one may use either way of praying the "Little Crown." Note that, like most other chaplets, one can buy or make a special set of beads for use in praying this Crown. The usual configuration is that of a big bead on a chain attached to a circle of 12 smaller beads in groups of 4, each group separated by another large bead. On the large beads, the Pater and Gloria are said; on the small beads, the Aves are said. Introductory Prayers Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle within them the fire of Thy love! V. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created. R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth. Let us pray. O God, Who by the light of the Holy Spirit dost instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant us by this same Spirit to relish what is right and ever to rejoice in His consolation, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

CONSECRATION TO ST. JOSEPH
O, my beloved St. Joseph, adopt me as thy child, take care of my salvation, watch over me day and night, preserve me from the occasion of sin, obtain for me purity of soul and body! Through thy intercession with Jesus grant me a spirit of sacrifice, of humility and self-denial, a burning love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and a sweet tender love for Mary, my Mother. St. Joseph, be with me living, be with me dying and obtain for me a favorable judgment from Jesus, my merciful Savior. Amen

PRAYER TO OBTAIN A CONVERSION
O glorious patriarch St. Joseph, who merited to be called "just' by the Holy Ghost, I urgently recommend to you the soul of (Name), which Jesus redeemed at the price of His Precious Blood.
Thou knowest how deplorable is the state and how unhappy the life of those who have banished this loving Savior from their hearts, and how greatly they are exposed to the danger of losing Him eternally. Permit not, I beseech thee, that a soul so dear to me should continue any longer in its evil ways; preserve it from the danger that threatens it; touch the heart of the prodigal child and conduct him back to the bosom of the fondest of fathers. Abandon him not, I implore thee, till thou hast opened to him the gates of the Heavenly city, where he will praise and bless thee throughout eternity for the happiness which he will owe to thy powerful intercession. Amen.

Breaking Personal Curses
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, strengthened by the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Blessed Michael the Archangel, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and all the Saints, and powerful in the holy authority of His Precious and Wondrous Name, I ask, O Lord God, that you break and dissolve any and all curses, hexes, spells, seals, satanic vows and pacts, spiritual bondings and soul ties with satanic forces, evil wishes, evil desires, hereditary seals, snares, traps, lies, obstacles, deceptions, diversions, spiritual influences, and every dysfunction and disease from any source whatsoever, that have been placed upon me. Father in Heaven, please rebuke these evil spirits and their effects and cast them away from me so that I may continue to do Your Will and fulfill the mission you have for them to Your Greater Glory. Thank you, Father, for hearing my prayer. I praise Your Holy Name and worship You and Love You. Thank You for the wisdom and light of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for enabling me through Your Holy Spirit to be aggressive against the works of the enemy. Thank You for Your Hope, that takes away discouragement; thank You for ongoing victory. “…in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 837). Father, I now place my enemies into your hands. Look with mercy upon them, and do not hold their sins against them. Anyone who has cursed me, I now bless. Anyone who has hurt me, I now forgive. For those who have persecuted me, I now pray Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory Be… O My Sweet Jesus, forgive us our sins and save us from the fires of Hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, and help especially those who are most in need of Thy Mercy. Holy Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Rebuking Particular Spirits

Prayer of Protection
from "Intergenerational Healing" by Fr. Robert DeGrandis, S.S.J.

I place myself in the presence of Jesus Christ and submit to His Lordship. I "Put on God’s armor so as to be able to resist the devil’s tactics" (Ephesians 6:10-11). I stand my ground, "with truth buckled around my waist and integrity for a breastplate..." (Ephesians 6:14). I carry the "shield of faith" to "put out the burning arrows of the evil one..." (Ephesians 6:16). I accept "salvation from God to be my helmet and receive the word of God from the spirit to use as a sword" (Ephesians 6:17). In the name of Jesus Christ crucified, died and risen, I bind all spirits of the air, the atmosphere, the water, the fire, the wind, the ground, the underground, and the nether world. I also bind the influence of any lost or fallen soul who may be present, and all emissaries of the satanic headquarters or any coven of witches or warlocks or satan worshipers who may be present in some preternatural way. I claim the blood of Jesus on the air and atmosphere, the water, the fire, the wind, the ground and their fruits all around us, the underground and the nether world. In the name of Jesus Christ I forbid every adversary mentioned to communicate with or help one another in any way, or to communicate with me, or to do anything at all except what I command in Jesus’ name. In the name of Jesus Christ I seal this place and all present and all family and associates of those present and their places and possessions and sources of supply in the blood of Jesus. (Repeat three times.) In the name of Jesus Christ I forbid any lost spirits, covens, satanic groups or emissaries or any of their associated, subjects or superiors to harm or take revenge on me, my family and my associates, or cause harm or damage to anything we have. In the name of Jesus Christ and by the merits of His Precious Blood, I break and dissolve every curse, hex, seal, spell, sorcery, bond, snare, trap, device, lie, stumbling block, obstacle, deception, diversion or distraction, spiritual chain or spiritual influence, also every disease of body, soul, mind or spirit placed upon us, or on this place, or on any of the persons, places and things mentioned, by any agent, or brought on us by our own mistakes or sins. (Repeat three times.) I now place the cross of Jesus Christ between myself and all generations in my family tree. I say in the name of Jesus Christ that there will be no direct communication between the generations. All communication will be filtered through the Precious Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Mary the Immaculate, clothe me in the light, power and energy of your faith. Father, please assign the angels and saints to assist me. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being my Wisdom, my Justice, my Sanctification, my Redemption. I surrender to the ministry of Your Holy Spirit, and receive Your truth concerning inter generational healing. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. Amen.

Prayer against Every Evilfrom "An Exorcist Tells His Story"
by Gabriele Amorth, chief exorcist of Rome

Spirit of our God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Most Holy Trinity, Immaculate Virgin Mary, angels, archangels, and saints of heaven, descend upon me. Please purify me, Lord, mold me, fill me with yourself, use me. Banish all the forces of evil from me (and mine), destroy them, vanquish them, so that (we) can be healthy and do good deeds. Banish from (us) all spells, witchcraft, black magic, malefice, ties, maledictions, and the evil eye; diabolic infestations, oppressions, possessions; all that is evil and sinful, jealousy, perfidy, envy; physical, psychological, moral, spiritual, diabolical ailments. Burn all these evils in hell, that they may never again touch (us) or any other creature in the entire world. I command and bid all the powers who molest (us)—by the power of God all powerful, in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, through the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary—to leave (us) forever, and to be consigned into the everlasting hell, where they will be bound by Saint Michael the archangel, Saint Gabriel, Saint Raphael, our guardian angels, and where they will be crushed under the heel of the Immaculate Virgin Mary. Amen

Prayer to St. Michael
St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray and may thou, oh prince of the Heavenly Hosts, cast into hell, satan and all the other evil spirits that roam through the earth, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Act of Reparation
Lord, I offer You all of me, all that I am and all that I am not. I offer You every good decision and every regrettable mistake, every great accomplishment and every missed opportunity, every divinely inspired gift and every unapplied talent, every success and every miserable failure. I offer You all joy and all heartache, every kindness and every bitterness to be forgotten, every twinkle in my eye and every tear flowing down my cheek, every great love and each lost or irrecoverable act of charity. I offer You every quiet reflective moment and all of the unneeded chaos around me, all things holy and good in me and all things in need of greater purification. I give You every joyful memory and every bitter foul pain, each future moment and every missed opportunity to love, every kind act and each regrettable harsh word, all meekness and humility within me and every misplaced prideful thought, every virtue and every weak vice, every laugh and all misery mixed with seeping. I give You every healthy breath and every weakness of mind and body, every attempt at chastity and every unworthy lustful thought, every resful repose and every anxious sleepless night. O Lord, You can have all of me, the beauty that You've deposited deep within me and the emptiness of my sinful faults. I love You and I am Yours completely. Amen.
