The Love in His Heart will Bring Tears to Your Eyes!

I had to make this an official blog post after receiving an email to listen to Friar Alessandro Brustenghi for just a few moments :) Truly the LOVE in his heart will bring tears to your eyes! Here's just a little background. Later, I'll give the link to his official page.  

The DECCA RECORD COMPANY IS GIVING ME A COUPLE COPIES OF HIS ALBUM THAT I'M GOING TO AWARD TO SOME LUCKY BATTLEBEADS CUSTOMER IN THE UPCOMING WEEKS. I WILL HAVE TO PUT ON MY THINKING CAP TO DECIDE HOW TO DO THIS. IDEAS WELCOMED! ;) 

Friar Alessandro is a very cheerful and humble sanctuary guide in Assisi, Italy where he was born.  His hope as the first Franciscan Friar to be signed to a major record label, is that his voice will have the ability to foster a stronger Catholic presence in contemporary art & music.
His enthusiasm for music since childhood influenced him to study organ, musical composition, and operatic singing at institutions and conservatories throughout Italy. However, his success in music felt incomplete in the absence of a driven religious life. So at the age of twenty-one, he entered as a postulant in the Order of the Friars Minor of Umbria and would take his final vows some ten years later.  It was in fact the desire to join the Order which pushed him to complete his qualification at the musical
conservatory as it was considered a touchstone for the seriousness of his commitment. At present he lives at the Porziuncola Friary in Santa Maria degli Angeli, Assisi, where he welcomes pilgrims to the Basilica.

And he sings. OH DOES HE SING! This post is to help announce his upcoming album. To accompany this special release you can own a piece of Bethlehem, a beautiful Christmas decoration hand crafted from local olive wood by local university students.

 Friar Alessandro's "Voice of Joy" is an album of beautiful music, from a wonderful man, and a celebration of Christmas - an album of joy, from his heart to yours.

Just a Note:

Through the grace of God and many prayers, I survived a double surgery (with cancer) in the fall of 2008. Since then has becoming increasingly important to me to enhance my prayer life. I have taken on the task of praying for strangers and those with little hope and much adversity. To that end, I've also begun (July '09), to make rosaries and related items to put prayer into the hands of as many as I can that will PRAY for others.

The world is at the precipice ... we need to TAKE ACTION ... NOW. Time for fence sitting is quickly coming to an end. We all need to do what ever we can in the way of PRAYER & PENANCE to beg God's Grace upon humanity that we may shake away this sinfulness and pride to get back on the road that leads to heaven and our Glorious Triune God!
