PRAY! PRAY! PRAY!

I can barely contain myself today. Memorial Day when we honor our heroic dead and those serving currently to keep us FREE (for however long THAT will be). I was told by a friend that a Palestinian vessel bringing aid to Gaza had attacked an Israeli ship with clubs, knives and then actually took some Israeli guns from them and began shooting them. The Israeli's NATURALLY fought back and ultimately killed 9 or several of them along with their own moderately to severly wounded. There was supposedly FOOTAGE OF the Palestinian's attacking with clubs and knives.

Next thing I hear is how Israel is CONDEMNED for their assault on a Palestinian aid vessel.
I'm blinking my eyes here and shaking my head! Is Israel not permitted to DEFEND HERSELF? WHY is everyone forgetting the CAUSE OF THIS INCIDENT? Same as when Iran was firing rockets into Israeli homes .. RESIDENTIAL HOMES ... they were chastised for attempting to defend themselves then as well. I guess Israel is supposed to permit ANYONE to do ANYTHING to them and SMILE and invite them to do MORE DAMAGE? WHAT'S THE FRIGGIN DEAL HERE FOLKS? WHY IS NO ONE STANDING WITH ISRAEL?????
The Bible tells us that all kings and nations will be against Israel, well we're seeing it .. this is the beginning folks. If people don't BEG their Diocese, Bishops and Priests (as well as THEY THEMSELVES) to do this PUBLIC PENANCE we DESERVE what we get!

If Israel stands alone and Iranian threats to their ultimate survival continue (as they have since Ishmael and Haggar left Abraham's camp) ... what choice will Israel have BUT to attack Iran before they are "removed from the face of the earth that their name be no more remembered"?? If we don't see a strike by July, I will be VERY surprised. Folks may wanna brush up on Ezekiel 38, Matthew 24 ... ah well .. most of you know where to look.

Then I see this story about a TROPICAL STORM that punched a HOLE in an intersection of a neighborhood in Guatemala ... HOW can a STORM make such a round symmetrical hole???
http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/americas/05/31/honduras.storm.emergency/index.html?hpt=T1

We have ignored God too long. He gave us MUCH and we demanded MORE from Him while throwing Him *BONES* .. and sometimes, He was lucky to even get THAT much from us!

Are we waiting to tell the MOUNTAINS TO FALL ON US AND HIDE US????  WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR!?!??!
PEOPLE ... PLEASE in the NAME OF GOD ALMIGHTY ... PLEASE start PRAYING AND DOING PENANCE LIKE NEVER BEFORE! Our lives and more importantly our IMMORTAL SOULS DEPEND ON IT!
HOW ON EARTH DOES A STORM
DO THIS?

As it stands right now, I feel if I do anything other than pray, I'm wasting my time here on earth.

The Public Penance Project

IMPORTANT
Our future DEPENDS on it!

CLICK TO  FOLLOW THIS GROUP ON FACEBOOK

Please everyone, talk to all you know, especially your Bishops and priests … I've been trying to get this going for years (Originally posted 2010.). We need to beg mercy and call down grace to strengthen and sanctify the clergy and faithful. With all the scandal for so long in the Church along with the progressives and liberals, we need to act quickly and storm heaven to mitigate what will surely befall us shortly from our complacency and arrogance. ADDENDUM: 5/7/15 - This still hasn't taken off ... I knew it was needed 5 yrs ago and here we are things are so much worse. Hold your newspaper in one hand and your Bible in the other folks!

VISIT Jesus in the Tabernacle ... if you don't think He's REALLY THERE, you have no business receiving Holy Communion!!! He who eats the Flesh of the Son of Man and drinks His Blood UNWORTHILY calls down condemnation upon himself!

Beginning with Bishops to lead by example and backed up by all clergy and faithful; we need to begin a movement of at least a quarter hour a week of PUBLIC PENANCE.
15 minutes of CONTRITE PROSTRATE PRAYER in front of the Blessed Sacrament. If we do not beg mercy and grace for strength, conversions and in reparation …. our future will be our own doing.

Pray for your Bishops, priests and all clergy!
May the Holy Spirit renew the initial objective:
LEAD ALL SOULS TO HEAVEN.

If you have a blog .. PLEASE put this up on it ... make flyers, phone calls,
talk to people ... let's get this NATIONWIDE before the Year of Mercy ends!!!
(Initially asked to get it going before year of Priests ends :-( )
Check back here for updates and info. God bless!

Pope: "The Church, home of the whole human family"

24/05/2010 (1:36)

The Church must always and everywhere be one, catholic and universal, "the house where everyone can find themselves."  This was Benedict XVI's message on Sunday, May 23rd, in his homily during Mass for Pentecost, celebrated in St. Peter's Basilica.

The Church is by its nature one and manifold, destined as it is to live among all nations, all peoples, and in various social contexts. It responds to its vocation -- to be a sign and instrument of unity for the whole human race -- only if it remains independent from all states and all particular cultures. At Pentecost, Benedict XVI explained, the Holy Spirit, God's force for communication, generates "a process of reunification between the scattered and divided factions of the human family," opening it up to experience communion. The Spirit is the flame that burns but does not destroy, the Pope added, rather, it transforms, because it must consume the waste that corrupts man and hampers his relationship with God and neighbor. This frightens us, we are afraid that following Christ deprives us of freedom, but "those who trust in Jesus experience a peace and joy of heart in this life that the world can neither give nor take away from us, once it has been given to us by God."

Moral Obligation for All Christians

To Bear Witness To the Truth:
An Unequivocal Moral Obligation for All Christians
by Rev. John Corapi, SOLT, STD
www.fathercorapi.com

Every Catholic and, indeed, every Christian faithful to the Gospel, has the moral obligation to bear witness to the truth, “in season and out of season, convenient or inconvenient,” accepted or rejected. This mandate is nothing new, of course. It’s as old as the Old Testament, and as new as the New Testament. Nonetheless, I’m afraid that it has become more necessary than ever to remind ourselves of it.

The Magisterium formally teaches in the Catechism of the Catholic Church #2471, quoting Sacred Scripture, “Before [Pontius] Pilate, Christ proclaimed the He has ‘come into the world to bear witness to the truth’ (Jn 18:37). The Christian is not to be ‘ashamed then of testifying to our Lord’ (2 Tm 1:8). In situations that require witness to the faith, the Christian must profess it without equivocation, after the example of St. Paul before his judges. We must keep ‘a clear conscience toward God and toward men’” (Acts 24:16).
Let me give you one definition of equivocation: “A statement that is not literally false but that cleverly avoids an unpleasant truth; intentionally vague or ambiguous.” How about this for an example: “A woman has the right to choose.” Choose what? A less vague, ambiguous, and equivocal statement would be, “A woman (or man) has the right to choose to perpetrate homicide. Or, “A nation has the right to facilitate, enable, or legislate genocide.” Oh, excuse me, that would be an unpleasant truth, or maybe an “inconvenient truth,” as the inventor of the internet, Al Gore, might say.

The Catholic Church unambiguously and formally teaches:
The duty of Christians to take part in the life of the Church impels them [IMPELS THEM] to act as witnesses of the Gospel and the obligations that flow from it. This witness is a transmission of the faith in words and deeds. WITNESS IS AN ACT OF JUSTICE THAT ESTABLISHES THE TRUTH OR MAKES IT KNOWN (see Matthew 18:16).
The recent travesty involving the University of Notre Dame’s invitation to the President of the United States to give the commencement address and receive an honorary doctor of laws degree is the antithesis of Catholic and Christian witness to the truth. A lawyer who vigorously, publicly, and consistently support an anti life and anti family litany of evils will now receive an honorary doctor of laws degree from what is arguably the most prestigious Catholic University in America.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Indeed, what thousand words will be conveyed by the picture(s) of Mr. Obama receiving his honorary doctorate and sending off the graduating class at Notre Dame University? This will be a dark day indeed for the University of Notre Dame and the Catholic Church that permitted it to happen. In the end the bishops have the right, and the duty, to decide if the University of Notre Dame can any longer claim “Catholic” credentials.
Meanwhile, the obligation to bear witness to the truth weighs more heavily than ever on each one of us. We have rapidly entered into a new era of persecution of the Church and the truth that she professes and teaches, reminding us again ... The disciple of Christ must not only keep faith and live on it, but also profess it, confidently bear witness to it, and spread it: All however must be prepared to confess Christ before men and to follow him along the way of the Cross, amidst the persecutions which the Church never lacks.” (Lumen gentius 42; Dignitatis Humanae 14). Service of and witness to the faith are necessary for salvation:
“So everyone who acknowledges Me before men, I also will acknowledge before My Father Who is in heaven; but whoever denies Me before men, I also will deny before My Father Who is in heaven” (Mt 10:32‐33).

Holy Spirit Novena begins TODAY - 5/14/10

FOREWORD
The novena in honor of the Holy Spirit is the oldest of all novenas since it was first made at the direction of Our Lord Himself when He sent His apostles back to Jerusalem to await the coming of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost. It is still the only novena officially prescribed by the Church. Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a powerful plea for the light and strength and love so sorely needed by every Christian.
Novena to the Holy Spirit for the Seven GiftsACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
On my knees before the great multitude of heavenly witnesses, I offer myself, soul and body to You, Eternal Spirit of God. I adore the brightness of Your purity, the unerring keenness of Your justice, and the might of Your love. You are the Strength and Light of my soul. In You I live and move and am. I desire never to grieve You by unfaithfulness to grace and I pray with all my heart to be kept from the smallest sin against You. Mercifully guard my every thought and grant that I may always watch for Your light, and listen to Your voice, and follow Your gracious inspirations. I cling to You and give myself to You and ask You, by Your compassion to watch over me in my weakness. Holding the pierced Feet of Jesus and looking at His Five Wounds, and trusting in His Precious Blood and adoring His opened Side and stricken Heart, I implore You, Adorable Spirit, Helper of my infirmity, to keep me in Your grace that I may never sin against You. Give me grace, O Holy Spirit, Spirit of the Father and the Son to say to You always and everywhere, "Speak Lord for Your servant heareth." Amen.

To be recited daily during the Novena

PRAYER FOR THE SEVEN GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
O Lord Jesus Christ Who, before ascending into heaven did promise to send the Holy Spirit to finish Your work in the souls of Your Apostles and Disciples, deign to grant the same Holy Spirit to me that He may perfect in my soul, the work of Your grace and Your love. Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom that I may despise the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal, the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten my mind with the light of Your divine truth, the Spirit of Counsel that I may ever choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining heaven, the Spirit of Fortitude that I may bear my cross with You and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation, the Spirit of Knowledge that I may know God and know myself and grow perfect in the science of the Saints, the Spirit of Piety that I may find the service of God sweet and amiable, and the Spirit of Fear that I may be filled with a loving reverence towards God and may dread in any way to displease Him. Mark me, dear Lord, with the sign of Your true disciples and animate me in all things with Your Spirit. Amen.

(To be recited daily during the Novena)

THE POPE AT FATIMA

DOES DRAMATIC VISIT MELD ACADEMIA AND MYSTICAL AND LINK TO A 'SECRET'?

The Pope's trip to Portugal and Fatima is already remarkable in two ways. First, it was on the plane ride Tuesday from Rome that he made the strongest statement to date on the abuse scandal (acknowledging that it came not so much as an outside persecution as from "terrifying" sin from within). Indeed, Fatima is known for a "third secret" that some claim has not been fully released and addressed such a crisis. Secondly, it is remarkable because we are watching a supremely academic pontiff -- one with a distinctly professorial countenance -- approach the site of an apparition.

Might it be that the cerebral approach to religion will meld with the profoundly mystical (or at least touch, and at least this week)?

First, the issue of the third secret: Sister Lucia dos Santos had said that it could be opened, but only after 1960, when it would become "clearer."

One can readily explain that the secret had to do with Russia and nuclear war (the angel with a torch) and that after 1960 the threat of nuclear war would indeed become more clear (see: Cuban missile crisis). Or, one could see the Sixties as causing a crisis of faith related to a phrase in the Fatima secrets that said, "In Portugal, the dogma of the faith will always be preserved" -- indicating that it would not be elsewhere.

One could also argue -- if one believes in an unreleased text accompanying the vision (one that has to do with scandal and problems in the hierarchy, and was meant to accompany the vision) that the current abuse crisis had its main genesis in the roaring Sixties and the sex "revolution."

One of those who claims the secret has not been fully released is essayist Antonio Socci of Italy, who points out that the 1960s were also the decade of Vatican II and the onset of not only non-mystical but an anti-mystical mindset. In fact, the preparatory commission for the Council began its work precisely in 1960. At the inauguration two years later, the Pope, remarking on prophecy, commented that "to us it seems necessary to disagree with these prophets of doom who are forever forecasting calamity, almost as if the world's end were imminent."

Pope John XXIII, claims Socci, was antagonistic to Sister Lucia and chose not to meet with her. Was this the beginning of the modern Church's stance on seers? "Evidently, he felt that his 'prophetic spirit' was much more acute than the 'Queen of Prophets,'" snipes Socci, who has written a bestseller called The Fourth Secret and who is described as a former friend of high Vatican official Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone. "In fact," adds this author, "[the Pope] announced a splendid springtime for the Church, and we have seen that a dark and freezing winter arrived."

This is Socci's view. We believe it always does us best to honor the view of a pontiff, no matter our personal opinions. And we certainly believe that obedience is key. But we will also grant the essayist his say at a time when what he has to say now resonates more than in previous decades. The question: Had the Church decided that its own views -- intellectually wrought -- were more prophetic than any private revelation?

Claims Socci: "The decisions and choices of John XXIII were also followed by his successor Paul VI, who -- for his own part -- added the annoyed and public rejection of Sister Lucia: 'It is said that Lucia that day at Fatima asked for a meeting with the Pope,' recalls John Guitton, who was his friend and confidante. The Pope responded brusquely: 'Address yourself to the bishop.' According to his French friend, 'Paul VI had a sort of generic aversion for visionaries. He maintained that, since revelation is complete, the Church has no need of these things, to which one must not give exaggerated importance.

"Are the 'little ones' chosen by Mary despised?" asked the author. "Are prophecies despised? [Portuguese journalist] Aura Miguel has observed that on the day he rejected a meeting with Sister Lucia, the last living visionary of Fatima, at the Portuguese sanctuary, Paul VI 'received that evening civil and military authorities, members of the government, and the diplomatic corps. The Pope also held an audience with the Portuguese episcopate, with representatives of Catholic Action and with other Christian churches. Returning to the Monte Real Airport, he found time to make a visit to the monastery of Batalha. Why did he have time for everyone except she whom the Madonna had chosen as her messenger?

"On September 13, 1964, Pope Paul VI confided to the same French friend that he expected to see 'lay people animated by the spirit of prophecy,' but he expected them as 'fruits of the Council,' not by election (and gift) of Heaven as with the children of Fatima," adds Socci.

It is a harsh assessment -- too harsh (we must respect the way of our popes, and appreciate their discernment) -- although it is true that this was when Paul VI made his famous remark that "the smoke of Satan" had entered the Church, an allusion, it turns out, to worldliness and the infiltration of scientism with which we still grapple. The majority of Western bishops seem to have adopted the pontiffs' view of seers.

Will that change when Benedict XVI -- the most intellectual of recent popes -- touches down this week at Fatima?

For despite an intellectual approach, Pope Benedict has a real fondness for the Blessed Mother. And he was mentored by John Paul the Great -- who was both a mystic and an intellectual.

We should not be hard, meanwhile, on John XXIII or Paul VI.

We should never be hard on any pope. They are in an impossible situation.

But dramatic are our times.

Pope Paul VI himself once fretted -- prophetically -- that "the opening to the Church became a true and proper invasion of the Church by worldly thinking."

Take a look at the vast majority of Catholic universities, high schools, grammar schools, news outlets, parish ministries, charitable organizations, or diocesan offices and this worldliness is greatly in evidence. Too often, there is an institution without the Spirit.

This is the root of the current crisis.

Did the third secret have a text that addressed problems in the Church?

Intriguingly, there were claims in the 1960s that a German publication called Neues Europa had glimpsed the alleged text accompanying the vision and reported that it foresaw "a time of hardest trials for the Church" when "cardinals will be against cardinals and bishops against bishops."

Experts denounced that "secret" as a fraud (it even got the wrong date for the secret) and Sister Lucia herself said that version of the secret was not true. If nothing else, it was overly apocalyptic.

Intriguing it was, however, that parts of it seemed repeated verbatim in an alleged message on October 13, 1973, to a nun at Akita, Japan, who said Mary told her that "the devil will infiltrate the Church even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres."

Years later, when asked about the third secret by Howard Dee -- Filipino ambassador to the Vatican -- then-Cardinal Ratzinger reportedly told him to read the Akita message.

So is there another part of the third secret -- one that has to do with the crisis and one that was not released because -- perhaps -- it was too "terrifying"?

There is no "smoking gun" indicating that the Vatican has hidden anything.

There are, however, ironies. Just last week, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn of Austria publicly castigated former Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Angelo Sodano for allegedly mishandling and covering up the abuse crisis). It is also Cardinal Sodano whom Socci alleges to have taken part in a cover-up of the text of the third secret.

Cardinal versus cardinal.

This gets as dangerous as it is intriguing. What does it have to do with spirituality? And does it not head on the slippery slope of criticality, the hypothetical, and disobedience? At the same time: is it not ironic that on the way to Fatima the Pope has addressed the abuse issue as never before? And do we not now see the Pope siding with Cardinal Schönborn (a very Marian, mystical prelate -- who recently visited, and endorsed, another apparition site)?

Is the Church about to get a bit more mystical?

Let us watch this week. Let us watch in the days ahead. Mostly, let us pray that the Blessed Mother, Our Lady of the Rosary, touch our dear Pope (and Church) in a new and special way.

Pope consecrates priests of the world to Immaculate Heart of Mary

.- After praying Vespers this evening in Fatima, Pope Benedict XVIconsecrated the priests of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.In order to consecrate the more than 400,000 men, he prayed thefollowing prayer while adoring the Blessed Sacrament, and accompaniedby priests, religious and consecrated persons gathered at the Church ofHoly Trinity.

Consecration Prayer
Immaculate Mother, in this place of grace, called together by the love of your Son
Jesus the Eternal High Priest, we, sons in the Son and His priests, consecrate ourselves to your maternal Heart, in order to carry out faithfully the Father’s Will.  We are mindful that, without Jesus, we can do nothing good (cf. Jn 15:5) and that only through Him, with Him and in Him, will we be instruments of salvation for the world.

Bride of the Holy Spirit, obtain for us the inestimable gift of transformation in Christ. Through the same power of the Spirit that overshadowed you, making you the Mother of the Savior, help us to bring Christ your Son to birth in ourselves too. May the Church be thus renewed by priests who are holy, priests transfigured by the grace of him who makes all things new.
Mother of Mercy, it was your SonJesus who called us to become like Him: light of the world and salt of the earth (cf. Mt 5:13-14). Help us, through your powerful intercession, never to fall short of this sublime vocation, nor to giveway to our selfishness, to the allurements of the world and to the wiles of the Evil One. Preserve us with your purity, guard us with your humility and enfold us with your maternal love that is reflected in so many souls consecrated to you, who have become for us true spiritual mothers.

Mother of the Church, we priests want to be pastors who do not feed themselves but rather give themselves to God for their brethren, finding their happiness in this. Not only with words, but with our lives, we want to repeat humbly, day after day, Our "here I am". Guided by you, we want to be Apostles of Divine Mercy, glad to celebrate every day the Holy Sacrifice of the Altar and to offer to those who request it the sacrament of Reconciliation.
Advocate and Mediatrix of grace, you who are fully immersed in the one universal mediation of Christ, invoke upon us, from God, a heart completely renewed that loves God with all its strength and serves mankind as you did. Repeat to the Lord your efficacious word: "They have no wine" (Jn2:3), so that the Father and the Son will send upon us a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Full of wonder and gratitude at your continuing presence in our midst, in the name of all priests I too want to cry out: "Why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?" (Lk 1:43).
Our Mother for all time, do not tire of "visiting us", consoling us, sustaining us. Come to our aid and deliver us from every danger that threatens us. With this act of entrustment and consecration, we wish to welcome you more deeply, more radically, for ever and totally into our human and priestly lives.
Let your presence cause new blooms to burst forth in the desert of our loneliness, let it cause the sun to shine on our darkness, let it restore calm after the tempest, so that all mankind shall see the salvation of the Lord, who has the name and the face of Jesus, who is reflected in our hearts, for ever united to yours!
Amen!

Socialism

NO matter what it's called it still STINKS!

Saturday, May 8, 2010

This is one of the few nice and good things Clinton did while in office. I didn't know till 13 yrs later that he made this proclamation on what would be the last Mother's Day I ever shared with my dear Mother. One week later she went to be with my beloved Father. Our eyes met in an unusually intense and memorable way that day when she left my house with my brother and his wife. That next Friday, we'd have to take her to the hospital with pneumonia from a laryngectomy gone awry. She thankfully didn't suffer the month and a half that my Father did. She was gone that Sunday .. exactly one week after Mother's Day.

If you still have your Mother ...never let a day go by without letting her know that you do appreciate all the love she gave you, all the sacrifices she made for you, all the aggravation she put up with for and because of you. Thank her for the gifts of FAITH and life ... for teaching you all that we should become for each other in Jesus' Name.

If you haven't talked to her in a while for WHATEVER reason ... don't put it off ... RECONCILE ... We are called to honor our parents, are we not? Right and Wrong are PRIDEFUL emotions. Love IS all that matters!

God Bless all Mother's this day and let us not forget our Heavenly Mother who intercedes for us night and day, wanting nothing more than to bring us closer to Jesus so that we might spend eternity together as the Family we were always meant to be!

William

William J.
 Clinton
Proclamation 6999 - Mother's Day, 1997
May 7, 1997

By the President of the United States of America

A Proclamation

As we prepare to enter the 21st century, in the midst of a rapidly changing world, one thing remains constant—the unconditional love between a mother and her child. This love provides us with a cornerstone and sanctuary throughout our entire lives. Mothers nurture, challenge, and instill strong values in their children, find solutions, arbitrate disputes, organize activities, care and teach, influence and lead, give, share, and encourage. Their abiding moral principles shape our families, our communities, and our national life. Today, mothers face many different challenges—from balancing the responsibilities of home and work, to raising families on their own—while contending with the often daunting challenges of modern society. They do this all while meeting the day-to-day responsibilities of class projects, car payments, and the flu season. And yet, they succeed, determined to protect what is so precious to them and to make brighter futures for themselves, their children, and their Nation. Each year we welcome the opportunity to set aside a day to acknowledge all that our mothers—whether biological, adoptive, or foster—have given us. It is a time to reflect on all we have gained from their guidance, care, and sacrifice and a time to openly express our gratitude and love. The Congress, by a joint resolution approved May 8, 1914 (38 Stat. 770), has designated the second Sunday in May each year as "Mother's Day" and
requested the President to call for its appropriate observance.

Now, Therefore, I, William J. Clinton, President of the United States of
America, do hereby proclaim May 11, 1997, as Mother's Day. Whether we are
able to share this special day with our mothers or are blessed with memories
of them, in our hearts they are with us always. I urge all Americans to
express their love and respect for their mothers and to observe this day
with appropriate ceremonies, activities, and programs.

In Witness Whereof,
I have hereunto set my hand this seventh day of May, in the year of our
Lord nineteen hundred and ninety-seven, and of the Independence of the United
States of America the two hundred and twenty-first.

WILLIAM J. CLINTON

Pleasure vs. Joy

I have said for many years that the world can ONLY give us happiness, which is fleeting, at best. Only the soul can hold the JOY which alone can be received from loving our Glorious Triune God and keeping His Commandments. We should be glad when life gives us good happiness, however, we need to strive to know and KEEP the JOY that can only come from God, Himself.

I pray that all who have ever touched my life in anyway good, bad, alive, dead, past, present and future receive the peace, comfort, love, hope, mercy and JOY that only HE can give!

Are You a RADICAL? ... You SHOULD Be!

The time for sitting on the fence is nearly over ... the day is far spent, the sun will soon set ... where will YOU BE? What side will YOU be on? Do you say you're a staunch Catholic, but are afraid to get INVOLVED? Afraid of what others will THINK OF YOU?

Well, where would we be today if the APOSTLES would have thought that? Were they not radicals in their day? Did they not die for love of God and what they devoutly believed? We live in a world where we want it all and we want it NOW and we want it HANDED TO US ON A SILVER PLATTER without ANY EFFORT on our part ... HORSE MANURE!!!

Wake up folks ... pick a side and ACT ... the VERY LEAST EVERYONE can do is pray the daily ROSARY as our Lady begs! You want to do more, that's great! Those that can speak ... DO SO! Those that can write, get out your pens! Those that can teach ... BEGIN NOW! BUT Let's ALL so SOMETHING ... we ARE standing on a precipice ... we're all going to have to take that final step into eternity at some point either alone in death or collectively if Jesus returns in our lifetimes.

Either way, there's only TWO possible directions we can go in once we take that step ... UP or DOWN. We make our choice HERE. As with contrition, to be sorry for sin because of fear of loss of heaven is 'acceptable' ... but how much better to be sorry for LOVE OF GOD for His Own Sake?

Think folks ... and thank the Apostles every day for what they insured would be passed down to us ... Pray for your Bishop's and Priest's, that they receive the grace to permit them to be the shepherds that the Lord would have them be ... after His Own Heart!

God bless us all and God bless the USA!

St. Rose Venerini (1656 - 1728)

She was one of four children born to Goffredo, a medical doctor and Marzia, whose
family was from Viterbo, an ancient city in central Italy. As a child, she was
interested in dedicating her life to God. She entered the Dominican Monastery at
the age of 20, but was forced to leave upon the unexpected death of her father.
Soon after, her brother and then her mother died. She began a women's group in
her neighborhood to recite the rosary. Through this effort, she realized that
women needed a better Christian education. The Bishop of Viterbo agreed and with
the help of some friends, she opened the first school for girls in Italy.

Her vision was not without conflict. It came not only from the culture but also from some of the clergy. However, the idea of teaching young girls would catch on as improvement in their lives and morality became evident. This would help her movement grow and she opened a school in the center of Rome. Pope Clement XI and a number of Cardinals visited the school and gave their approval. This led to a growing demand which would see more than 40 schools opened by the time of her death. A number of miracles were attributed to her and her educational communities have opened in countries around the world.

Pope Benedict XVI canonized her on 15 October 2006.
This week pray a Rosary in her honor, her feast day is May 7th.
