Christ the King Sunday

Christ the King Sunday celebrates the all-embracing authority of Christ as King and Lord of the cosmos. Officially called the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King, it is celebrated on the final Sunday of Ordinary Time, the Sunday before Advent.
Christ the King Prayers

Scriptural References: Psalm 23; Matthew 25:31-46; 1 Corinthians 15:20-28
Pope Pius XI instituted The Feast of Christ the King in 1925 for the universal church in his encyclical Quas Primas. He connected the increasingly denial of Christ as king to the rise of secularism. At the time of Quas Primas, many Christians (including Catholics) began to doubt Christ's authority and existence, as well as the Church's power to continue Christ's authority. Pius XI, and the rest of the Christian world, witnessed the rise of non-Christian dictatorships in Europe, and saw Catholics being taken in by these earthly leaders. These dictators often attempted to assert authority over the Church. Just as the Feast of Corpus Christi was instituted when devotion to the Eucharist was at a low point, the Feast of Christ the King was instituted during a time when respect for Christ and the Church was waning, when the feast was needed most.
Pius hoped the institution of the feast would have various effects. They were:
1. That nations would see that the Church has the right to freedom, and immunity from the state (Quas Primas, 32).
2. That leaders and nations would see that they are bound to give respect to Christ (Quas Primas, 31).
3. That the faithful would gain strength and courage from the celebration of the feast, as we are reminded that Christ must reign in our hearts, minds, wills, and bodies (Quas Primas, 33).
Today, the same distrust of authority exists, although the problem has gotten worse. Individualism has been embraced to humility and service. Jesus said:
such an extreme, that for many, the only authority is the individual self. The idea of Christ as ruler is rejected in such a strongly individualistic system. Also, many balk at the idea of kings and queens, believing them to be antiquated and possibly oppressive. Some even reject the titles of "lord" and "king" for Christ because they believe that such titles are borrowed from oppressive systems of government. However true these statements might be (some kings have been oppressive), these individuals miss the point: Christ's kingship is one of
You know that those who are recognized as rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones make their authority over them felt. But it shall not be so among you. Rather, whoever wishes to become great among you will be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all. For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:42-45, NAB).
and
Pilate said to Jesus, "Are you the King of the Jews?"... Jesus answered, "My kingdom does not belong to this world. If my kingdom did belong to this world, my attendants would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not here." So Pilate said to him, "Then you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say I am a king. For this I was born and for this I came into the world,to testify to the truth (John 18:33b, 36-37).

Thus, Jesus knew the oppressive nature of secular kings, and in contrast to them, he connected his role as king to humble service, and commanded his followers to be servants as well. In other passages of Scripture, his kingdom is tied to his suffering and death. While Christ is coming to judge the nations, his teachings spell out a kingdom of justice and judgment balanced with radical love, mercy, peace, and forgiveness. When we celebrate Christ as King, we are not celebrating an oppressive ruler, but one willing to die for humanity and whose "loving-kindness endures forever." Christ is the king that gives us true freedom, freedom in Him. Thus we must never forget that Christ radically redefined and transformed the concept of kingship.Christ the King Sunday used to be celebrated on the last Sunday of October, but since the calendar reforms of 1969, the feast falls on the last Sunday of Ordinary Time, which is the Sunday before Advent. It is fitting that the feast celebrating Christ's kingship is observed right before Advent, when we liturgically wait for the promised Messiah (King).

History

The earliest Christians identified Jesus with the predicted Messiah of the Jews. The Jewish word "messiah," and the Greek word "Christ," both mean "anointed one," and came to refer to the expected king who would deliver Israel from the hands of the Romans. Christians believe that Jesus is this expected Messiah. Unlike the messiah most Jews expected, Jesus came to free all people, Jew and Gentile, and he did not come to free them from the Romans, but from sin and death. Thus the king of the Jews, and of the cosmos, does not rule over a kingdom of this world.
Christians have long celebrated Jesus as Christ, and his reign as King is celebrated to some degree in Advent (when Christians wait for his second coming in glory), Christmas (when "born this day is the King of the Jews"), Holy Week (when Christ is the Crucified King), Easter (when Jesus is resurrected in power and glory), and the Ascension (when Jesus returns to the glory he had with the Father before the world was created). However, Pius XI wanted to specifically commemorate Christ as king, and instituted the feast in the Western calendar in 1925.
In the 21st century many Western Christians, Catholic and Protestant, celebrate Christ the King Sunday, including Anglicans and Lutherans. Unfortunately, in some mainline Protestant churches, "king" language is not popular, and the feast is downplayed. However, in a chaotic and unjust world that seems to scorn any kind of authority, many Christians proudly celebrate Christ the King Sunday, where the loving and merciful - and just - king of the universe is praised and glorified.

Novena of Surrender to the Will of God

Surrender Novena

Can be said any time; but say it with your whole heart, mind, strength & soul.
It brings peace & strength beyond belief!

Day 1
Why do you confuse yourselves by worrying? Leave the care of your affairs to Me and everything will be peaceful. I say to you in truth that every act of true, blind, complete surrender to Me produces the effect that you desire and resolves all difficult situations.
Repeat 10 times...
O Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything!

Day 2

Surrender to Me does not mean to fret, to be upset, or to lose hope, nor does it mean offering to Me a worried prayer asking Me to follow you and change your worry into prayer. It is against this surrender, deeply against it, to worry, to be nervous and to desire to think about the consequences of anything. It is like the confusion that children feel when they ask their mother to see to their needs, and then try to take care of those needs for themselves
so that their childlike efforts get in their mother’s way. Surrender means to placidly close the eyes of the soul, to turn away from thoughts of tribulation and to put yourself in My care.
Repeat 10 times...
O Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything!

Day 3
How many things I do when the soul, in so much spiritual and material need turns to Me, looks at Me and says to Me; “You take care of it,” then close its eyes and rests. In pain you pray for Me to act, but that I act in the way you want. You do not turn to Me, instead, you want Me to adapt to your ideas. You are not sick people who ask the Doctor to cure you,
but rather sick people who tell the Doctor how to. So do not act this way, but pray as I taught you in the Our Father: “Hallowed be Thy Name”, that is, be glorified in My need. “Thy kingdom come”, that is, let all that is in us and in the world be in accord with Your kingdom.
“Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven”, that is, in our need, decide as You see fit for our temporal and eternal life. If you say to Me truly: “Thy Will be done” which is the same as saying: “You take care of it” I will intervene with all My omnipotence, and I will resolve the most difficult situations.
Repeat 10 times...
O Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything!

Day 4

You see evil growing instead of weakening? Do not worry, Close your eyes and say to Me with faith: “Thy Will be done, You take care of it.” I say to you that I will take care of it, and that I will intervene as does a doctor and I will accomplish miracles when they are needed. Do you see that the sick person is getting worse? Do not be upset, but close your eyes and say “You take care of it.” I say to you that I will take care of it, and that there is no medicine more powerful than My loving intervention. By My Love, I promise this to you.
Repeat 10 times...
O Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything!

Day 5

And when I must lead you on a path different from the one you see, I will prepare you; I will carry you in My Arms; I will let you find yourself, like children who have fallen asleep in their mother’s arms, on the other bank of the river. What troubles you and hurts you immensely are your reason, your thoughts and worry, and your desire at all costs to deal with what afflicts you.
Repeat 10 times...
O Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything!

Day 6
You are sleepless; you want to judge everything, direct everything and see to everything and you surrender to human strength, or worse - to men themselves, trusting in their intervention, - this is what hinders My Words and My Views. Oh how much I wish from you this surrender, to help you and how I suffer when I see you so agitated! Satan tries to do exactly this: to agitate you and to remove you from My protection and to throw you into the jaws of human initiative. So, trust only in Me, rest in Me, surrender to Me in everything.
Repeat 10 times...
O Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything!

Day 7
I perform miracles in proportion to your full surrender to Me and to your not thinking of yourselves. I sow treasure troves of graces when you are in the deepest poverty. No person of reason, no thinker, has ever performed miracles, not even among the saints. He does divine works whosoever surrenders to God. So don’t think about it any more, because your mind is acute and for you it is very hard to see evil and to trust in Me and to not think of yourself.
Do this for all your needs, do this all of you and you will see great continual silent miracles.
I will take care of things, I promise this to you.
Repeat 10 times...
O Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything!

Day 8

Close your eyes and let yourself be carried away on the flowing current of My grace; close your eyes and do not think of the present, turning your thoughts away from the future just as you would from temptation. Repose in Me, believing in My goodness, and I promise you by My Love that if you say "You take care of it,” I will take care of it all; I will console you,
liberate you and guide you.
Repeat 10 times...
O Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything!

Day 9
Pray always in readiness to surrender, and you will receive from it great peace and great rewards, even when I confer on you the grace of immolation, of repentance and of love.
Then what does suffering matter? It seems impossible to you? Close your eyes and say with all your soul, “Jesus, You take care of it.” Do not be afraid, I will take care of things and you will bless My Name by humbling yourself. A thousand prayers cannot equal one single act of surrender, remember this well. There is no novena more effective than this!
Repeat 10 times...
O Jesus, I surrender myself to You, take care of everything!

Mother, I am yours now and forever. Through you and with you I always want to belong completely to Jesus.

The Moral Decay of Society - Where Are We Really?

We look around our world today and are utterly flabbergasted. It's not just the crime, drugs, lack of respect, judgement and morals that make us shudder; but for those who have eyes and ears, we are seeing prophecy jump off the pages of the Bible and hit us right between the eyes.

We see all kinds of division everywhere. From the government, the workplace, our churches and synagogues, and yes even in our very own families! Confusion abounds in this world today where evil is called good and good is called evil. The folks adhering to the old values before this insanity grabbed hold are deemed uncharitable and labeled with all kinds of phobias. We are the 'bad guys'. And why?

It's not good enough that most folks are content to let others do as they wish and go their merry way.
The "PROGRESSIVES" want - no, DEMAND, that we not only accept their sin, but EMBRACE their wicked deeds. To this end, they riot, loot, disrupt, attack and sometimes even kill to make their point, all while accusing the folks on the sidelines getting knocked around, of being HATEFUL. If they opened their eyes towards a mirror, perhaps they'd notice that the grimaces on their faces display their own hearts true motivation.

And of course decades later we are still killing our little ones ... only it's become more blatant,
more horrific. And if by chance the little ones that are not torn apart limb from limb happened to be born, well, we will either let them die in a cold dark place without any care or just start harvesting their organs while their heart still beats. Late-term abortions up until the moment of birth are still performed without a second thought. God have mercy on The Souls of the people who do this or have anything to do with this "industry of death".

Then of course we have what has come to be known as the immigration problem. Very strange to me how it's been turned around. But of course, that's one of the old boys best tricks throughout the centuries - confusion, lies, division - his standard modus operandi!

I have to wonder if any of the folks wanting to let in people who say they want to kill us, have ever studied the history of these people. It's readily available online but I'll just touch on a few things. Whenever the Muslims conquered an area, they erected a mosque to commemorate the victory. Any wonder why they want to build one on ground zero?

There are videos all over the place that they themselves have distributed around the internet that display their hatred, violence and evil. They make no bones about how much they hate Americans and actually anyone who's not Muslim; and these 'infidels' should be beheadded if they don't convert.

Now it's true that not all Muslims are extremists. But it is true that all Muslims hold to the tenants of their faith which can be very severe for themselves should they question or attempt to leave Islam. Parents have slain their own children for looking at someone of the opposite sex, for dancing, for wondering about Christianity or any other thing (and there are many) that is perceived to disparage Islam or the  PROPHET. Nothing wrong with HONOR KILLING in the Muslim world.

They have infiltrated all countries systematically over the last several decades. Now, what I don't understand is if they are true refugees fleeing from a land that they feel is unfair and want the freedom that other countries can give them; why is it when they go to those other countries they do not try to assimilate, but try to force their laws on the hosting country? So how can these people be real refugees? It doesn't take rocket science to see that they're infiltrating in an attempt to control and rule rather than be grateful recipients of their newly found freedoms.

So here we are folks, prophecy unfolding before our very eyes. The minds that have not been twisted from the drug epidemic are being systematically manipulated by the media in an attempt to bring about a new world order/reign of the Antichrist.
At the very least, a docile population left after the plagues and pestilence from viruses and vaccinations will be much more easily controlled. Folks should Google the Georgia Guidestones for more information.

It's much more than sex, drugs and rock and roll today. The stakes are much higher. The time is much shorter. The evil is much stronger. Most folks are simply content to stay in their little worlds and ignore all the signs. No, we do not know the day or the hour, but the Lord Himself did tell us to watch, be vigilant and know the signs of the times!

I suggest that people put their pride aside, & make an effort to research the truth for themselves. The fullness of Truth. We all should be praying without ceasing. Every heartbeat every breath should be a prayer begging God to enlighten our souls, open our minds and hearts to the truth that IS Jesus!
Eternity is an awfully long time to lament over something that could have been easily remedied in this Valley of Tears if we but had eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart that's open to the direction of the Holy Spirit. There are many passages of scripture that can point you in the right direction but I leave you some here as food for thought:
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. (2 Timothy 3:1-4)

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. (Romans 1:26-27)

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)
